Make sure you didn't map the analog stick in the core menu

You don't map the analog stick in the core menu; make sure you map it from the main menu.

Ah that worked. The first time it was only asking me to input right on analog stick 1 but this time it asked for right and then down. Thanks for the help

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation

So i have an N64 USB pad that i bought ages ago Im not sure on the manufacture as theres no marking just says 'Made in China' on the top of the pad. The pad works fine in Windows but with the MiSTer it doesn't detect any movement when moving the analog stick up and down!. Any ideas why this happens? Re: USB dead is it my hub, DE-10 Nano, or ?

Im having the same issue currently. I have the RetroCastle IO board from AliExpress and noticed that my USB devices were always hit and miss if they worked, i had to power off and on a few times and then they would work but after a while that stopped working. I then found out if i didn't insert the USB bridge adapter all the way then this got it to...

Wonder if a RPi Zero 2 would be powerfully enough to do the the camera processing, then maybe the next version of the Sinden could have RPi Zero build into it and remove the need for external devices

So im trying to use the 8BitDo M30 2.4G version, but 1 of the function buttons doesn't seem to be registered and 2 buttons seem to do the same function. The small 'Star' button on the pad (below the start button to the right) doesn't seem to register an input at all when trying to configure buttons form the MiSTer menu and the 'Minus' button (direc...

Re: Arcade Game File Structure...Streamlining

Thats a sound plan, ill delete the Arcade, MAME and MAMEB folders and start from fresh!

It would appear its Jotego's JTBeta.zip file that has an Alt folder under the Acades folder for some reason!

After that ill run the The arcade-organizer script

Arcade Game File Structure...Streamlining

So have noticed after running the Update_all script that in the _Arcade folder there appears to be Alt and Alternatives folder. The Alt folder appears to have just Jotego's alternatives roms where as the Alternatives folder has Jotego's alternatives plus all the other arcade core alternatives. Is the organisation of the Arcade folder supposed to ha...

Got a new case with a custom ioboard/usb combo from taobao (saw it on the Mister Facebook group). They have various colour variants and even an aluminum design. Very nice and slim design. They replaced the vga port with a sega Saturn one. Which is okay. But I think I would prefer the vga one. I added/fiddled a usbc port for power which cracked a b...

So other than being able to use original pads on the MiSTer is the BlisSTer worth if from a latency stand point?, when using the standard MiSTer version 2.1 USB hub and enabling the fast polling option??? I was under the impression nowadays that the latency of the standard USB hub of the MiSTer is so good that you cant tell a difference from that o...

Re: Made my Own VGA to Scart cable, audio buzzing!!

3.5mm audio pigtail is a 3.5mm plug already connected to a short piece of audio cable like this: By using one you don't have to deal with the nasty nickel plated connections on the plug - I hate soldering those. The cable has 2 wires (left and rigth) and a shield. If you used only 3 wires without shield it could be the cause of your buzz. Where di...

Made my Own VGA to Scart cable, audio buzzing!!

So i have built my own scart to vga cable to use along with a HDMI to VGA adapter. I followed the diagram from here, https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/ScartCable scart.jpg the only alteration i did was to add a 470k resistor to the sync line on the scart end (Pin 20). But i noticed im getting a slight audio buzz from the left speaker of...
