Re: Nintendo Style Controllers
Thanks for the replies, I was aware of the wired latency issue with the Nintendo NSO N64 controller. I just really like the fact it's the original shape. I think I might go for the Brawler 64 NSO bluetooth version. @thorr Does the Brawler bluetooth version come with everything I need to connect it up with the MiSTer? I've seen some reviews on YouTu...

Re: Nintendo Style Controllers
Guys, I'm looking to get the Brawler 64 or the Nintendo NSO N64 controller for use with the core. I already purchased the wrong Brawler 64 wired gamepad which doesn't have the USB connection ( ), so I just need some help clarifying exactly which version I need with a USB connection. Does the Brawler 64 NSO Wireless Bluetooth version come wit...

Re: Guwange insert coin doesn’t register
What input device are you using? If it supports multiple input modes (e.g. PS3, PS4, X-Input, D-Input, Switch) which are you using? I’m using a Retrobit 8 button USB MegaDrive controller. It was just plug and play, so I’m not sure which input mode that is. I’ve tried reassigning the buttons and it still doesn’t work. I did recently add a second co...

Guwange insert coin doesn’t register
I’ve run into an issue with Guwange on the Cave Core if anyone can help me please? The game was working perfectly the first time it downloaded several weeks ago. Since I ran another update_all I can’t start a game because the insert coin doesn’t register any credits. I get the chime sound effect, but the counter stays on zero. I’m guessing I have a...

Re: Cave Core Guwange Public Release
Thanks again for such an awesome core and awesome game being added! I do have a question though, I use the Update All script and while the CAVE core folder has most of the games, DDP seems to be not in that folder or the Core folder or the manufacturer folder. It's just listed in the main group. It's not even in the A-B alphabetic folder. Any idea...

Re: MiSTerFPGA.co.uk
I ordered everything I needed from Nat to get my MiSTer up and running.
He was always quick to reply to my emails, and answered all my noob questions clearly.
All his products come highly recommended from me.

Re: MegaCD bios not found... help.
I finally figured it out!! There was nothing wrong with my original BIOS files. After I’d renamed it to ‘boot.rom’, I discovered there was a hidden extension. So it was actually called ‘boot.rom.md’. Once I’d deleted the ‘.md’ part it worked perfectly.
So happy!

Re: MegaCD bios not found... help.
Thanks for that suggestion.
Unfortunately, I tried it, and it didn’t work. Still said ‘bios not found’.
I moved the entire MegaCD folder out of the games folder and onto the root, but no joy...
I’m still not sure if my bios files are the problem.
Oh well, at least my other console cores work.

MegaCD bios not found... help.
Hi guys, So I’ve recently set up my MiSTer and SD card, and got all the console cores working without too many issues... apart from MegaCD. I’ve downloaded 2 different sets of bios, and both don’t seem to work. The core always launches with a black screen, and if I try to boot up a game it says ‘bios file not found’. I renamed it ‘boot.rom’ and hav...

Mac WiFi + Update Script + File Editing Help
Hi guys, I successfully created (I hope) my SD card on my iMac yesterday. I can’t test it yet, as I’m still waiting for my boards etc to arrive, but hope some of you MiSTer gods can help answer some questions! I’m a total noob and just can’t find any definitive answers elsewhere. 1. For Mac, the final stage of setup is putting the SD card in the Mi...

Re: Mac SD Card Install?
My question relates to the final step/paragraph of the MiSTer SD card installer script for Mac OS on the GitHub, so was just trying to keep any relevant setup information together.
No matter, I’ll start my own thread.

Re: Mac SD Card Install?
I've just successfully (I hope) installed a new SD Card on my iMac today. Total noob... I could only find one(!) guide video on YouTube for Mac users, which was very helpful. https://youtu.be/yBYJw3KNiBc It's a real shame there aren't more dedicated channels/videos for Mac users. I'm still waiting for my boards to arrive, but does anyone know...
