Re: Is This a Bug? 2nd Slot Memory Card Always Mounted

the core (like others) will autocreate an MCD\SAV file for each game when you go to save, it will be named the same as the ROM. I'd like to clarify that the auto-mounted save files are not named after the ROM you're using, but are named after the parent directory where the ROM is located. If, say, you launch a ROM stored as a .chd file in the /gam...

Re: Super Mario World intro chime/screen & Link To The Past intro chime/screen errors

Every flat panel screen I've ever used on MiSTer will take a moment to sync to any signal that isn't exactly 60hz. I'm pretty sure the only current way to make sure you can see the first fractions of a second when loading a ROM is to use vsync_adjust=0 or to play on a CRT. If you enjoy playing Kaizo hacks and other games which require frame perfect...

Re: Launching a Script Without Rebooting The MiSTer?

That makes sense to me. As an end user I haven't noticed anything strange but can understand the potential for problems. I'll continue taking my chances however :D

Re: Launching a Script Without Rebooting The MiSTer?

Since the HPS (UNIX) portion is still heavily involved with gameplay, it is likely that running a script (or transferring files, etc.) would interfere with gameplay. Why exactly is it so important to run a script after a core is launched ? Have you tested this hypothesis? I've been running scripts via SSH while the MiSTer is booted into a game wit...

Re: Direct Video Broken in Latest Update?

I'm not having this issue with the Analog I/O VGA. Is Direct Video the HDMI analog?

Re: Help with PAL Games on PSX

I'm not sure at the moment if this is possible but if you use vsync_adjust=0 it will work via HDMI fine, albeit with some added latency.

Re: Japanese PSX Games no Longer Work? What Do I Do?

If you are using theypsilon's update_all script it should automatically download the correct BIOS's and place them where they are needed. You might want to remove any boot*.rom files from /games/PSX and let the script redownload them. If it's set up correctly with all 3 different regions BIOS you will be able to leave the region setting on Auto.
