I’m still waiting to see where a couple of case projects are going, so in the meantime I had this cut from plywood.

I like the slim look of a MiSTer minus the add on boards! Great if it meets your needs

Re: Controller Ports for SNAC adapters
I ordered the SNES and NES ones from AliExpress - from a store on there called Kingworld. The GameBoy link port I got from AliExpress, just realised its a different seller - China Game Store Mega Drive and PCE, I had parts already from other projects - the PCE ports I searched eBay for mini din 8 PCB to find the right part (got 2 for just over £2 i...

Re: Special/Interesting controllers for MiSTer
You can make an external adapter for the JogCon, no modification of the actual pad necessary :-) Edit - just got home and found the picture I made as a reference... JogConUSB-pinout.png A note i left to myself after reading on the old forum was to use an ItsyBitsy board by Adafruit, as it has the correct 3.3v on it. I used a cheap PS1 to USB adapte...

Re: Show us your keyboards
The K400 is nice, because Sorg put in some special code on the Linux side to automatically swap the media keys with the F1-12 keys at boot. Other similar keyboards require you to hold down the FN key to use the MiSTer OSD button, toggle wallpapers, etc. I wondered if I had imagined that change or if I was remembering things wrong. I have a K400r a...

Re: Add on board for Analog CRT centering and protection?
Thanks for the link, I’ll try it out tomorrow. Enjoy your MiSTer when you get it, I’ve found it a great distraction, and that was before the world went haywire! EDIT - went through those options on that site, and still can't get into a recognisable service menu, then found this https://service-mode.com/panasonic.html but no luck either. I think I'l...

Dummies Guide to SNAC?
Can anyone help me with SNAC? I’m in the process of building some of the controller boards, after having just built the ‘USB’ version of the main board. I have an IO Board 5.5. I understand I’ll need to mod this for use with the Sega SNAC adapter board (I’ve got some pictures saved of what I believe is necessary to do) I’ve got a PCE board complete...

Re: MiSTerFPGA.co.uk
Top class service from Nat on each of my 4 orders so far. Friendly chap to deal with too. I’ve had no issues with any faults on any of the populated boards I’ve purchased. I’m just enjoying soldering my own Snac boards, whilst they aren’t bad, they don’t look anywhere near as good as the work Nat does. From what I heard a few weeks ago, cases are c...

Re: Add on board for Analog CRT centering and protection?
I guess non RGB mode it’s shifted about 5mm to the left, same source but with RGB enabled then it’s more like 10mm shifted. It’s pretty much the same for the different sources I’ve tried so far. My TV is Panasonic TX-21S1T, it’s a Z5 chassis. One page I found said to put the TV to channel 60, set sharpness to minimum and then press the Timer Off bu...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
I was hoping to see yours in here terminator2k2, that's got to be the most impressive DIY case I've ever seen. I like that you've soldered to the USB pins, it looks much tidier than using cables inside and every mm of room helps. I'm undecided what to do with a case at the moment. But I did take apart an old'ish SSD I have to see just how big the i...

Add on board for Analog CRT centering and protection?
I recently picked up a regular consumer CRT with RGB Scart input (living in a PAL land does have some advantages). I plan on using this with MiSTer and consoles such as Saturn, Dreamcast, N64 etc. Except RGB signals aren't centered on the screen. I've been looking for days to get into the service menu to see about centering the image, but with no l...
