Re: PSX Core Official Release
Sure, that'd be good, if you'd be up for it. I did make some changes today to some areas that I think might have been related to the issue (though I can't replicate it myself), and also added more checks in general, so with any luck, the current version will work with your sample.

Re: PSX Core Official Release
If anybody's interested, I wrote a zsh script to compress Redump-named BIN/CUE games to CHD files and organize them (merge multidisc directories into one directory, and split by NTSC-U/NTSC-J/PAL region). It's not PSX-specific, either. I just used it to organize my PC Engine CD images, and it worked fine for that. https://github.com/Kreeblah/organ...

Re: UltimateMiSTer.com
Hey, I had a question about one of your products. I saw you have https://ultimatemister.com/product/ultimate-mister-blisster-digital/ listed (though it's currently out of stock), and I was wondering, would it be possible to buy just the case? I'm planning on switching to a digital I/O board for my MiSTer, but I don't have a case for it and my BlisS...

Re: Missing directory Amiga
Redoing my SD card and copying my configs and everything back to it did indeed do the trick. It even runs fine pulling all the data from my NAS, like I had set up before.
This is so weird.

Re: Missing directory Amiga
Yeah, I wasn't switched to USB.
I suppose I've been meaning to redo my card at some point anyway since I originally created it before the update to the ExFAT cluster sizes a while back. I'll grab the current version of Mr. Fusion (which wasn't around the last time I did this) and see whether reflashing with that gets things working.

Re: Missing directory Amiga
Yeah, I have no idea what's wrong here. As far as I can tell, I'm doing everything that should be required to get this to work, but it just . . . isn't. As far as the decryption goes for the other person, I have a feeling that it would have attempted to use the key to decrypt the ROM (which would have then encrypted it). The Amiga ROM encryption/de...

Re: Missing directory Amiga
So you have your Minimig core in /media/fat/_Computer, your Amiga directory in /media/fat/games/Amiga and your Kickstarts in that same Amiga directory (not a sub-directory), correct? Can you select a Kickstart in the configuration menu or do you get the error before? Where do your Kickstarts come from? If you have a 512K one is its exact size 524,...

Re: Missing directory Amiga
... /media/fat/Games is mounted from my NAS using the cifs_mount.sh script. ... That could explain it. I had the games directory on a USB drive and I ran into all sorts of problems with this core: the Amiga directory had to be in /media/usb0/Amiga and refused to work if in /media/usb0/games/Amiga. I could only use a single Kickstart rom which had ...

Re: Missing directory Amiga
Do you have everything on SD card or are you also using a USB drive? /media/fat/Games is mounted from my NAS using the cifs_mount.sh script. This is a classic. Make sure you have a file explicitly named kick.rom in /media/fat/Games/Amiga, then you'll be able to pick another. For some reason, it shows missing directory if it can't find the file in ...

Missing directory Amiga
Is anybody here familiar with why the Amiga core would return an error saying "Missing directory Amiga" when I try to pick a Kickstart ROM? I've tried putting my ROMs in /media/fat/Amiga and /media/fat/Games/Amiga (both of which I've seen other people suggest), but neither seems to work for me. I'd rather not drop a kick.rom file in the r...

Re: ao486 Drivers
Now that the sound card is switched from an SB2.0 to an SB16, has anybody had any luck with any SB16 drivers with Windows 3.1? It seems that the lack of an ASP implementation is causing issues with the ones I've tried, though I'm pretty sure there were SB16 revisions that didn't have an ASP at all, so I'd imagine that there are some that should wor...

Re: ao486 Drivers
That's all really good info. Thanks! I didn't realize that with EMM386.EXE and HIMEM.SYS. I went ahead and added copies from my Win98SE install as well as the open-source one. I also pulled the ones from PC-DOS 7.1 as well, since IBM continued doing development on DOS up until 2008. Those versions also seem to be compatible with MS-DOS 6.22, from ...

Re: ao486 Drivers
The versions of EMM386.EXE/HIMEM.SYS in MSDOS 6.22 contains some bugs, especially when used with slowdown apps. These bugs were fixed in the Windows 98 SE version of DOS. The Drivers can be downloaded here: (My Firefox says the site contains malware, but my antivirus didnt find anyting. If you dont trust the zip, pull the files yourself from WIN98...

Re: ao486 Drivers
Yeah, the CRC32 of the video BIOS (boot1.rom) that people are using is 713CB637, which is the one I have linked in the first post there. It's also the same CRC32 (and SHA256) as the one there on elpod.org. I created a GitHub repository for this stuff so we don't have to worry about other sites going down and migrated the files from the old links in...

Re: Breakthrough for the ao486 core announced - Cache
After changing from 26 to 27, I am not able to run with 100Mhz anymore, only start up with 90 or below. Anyone else having that issue? Which ET4000 Bios to recommend? Can it be a generic ISA one like found here: http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=1531&menustate=0 Or better use the ET4000w32 (which should be the VLB Version?) mentioned...

Re: USB CD-ROM Support
Emulators usually aren't tuned to the same timings as an actual console. I haven't looked at the code here myself, but the impression I have is that it's written to expect data from the CD using the same timing characteristics as the original drive (which other drives won't have). A microSD card is going to be significantly faster than that, so Lin...

Re: What type of SD card to get for MiSTer
Amazon is the only place I get SD cards from. I refuse to buy SD cards from Best Buy or Office Depo. Pay attention to who the seller is, Amazon isn't a store just a listing service (like eBay or Etsy). All my cards come from ether Amazon it self or a reliable 3rd party. Yeah, that's the thing. If you check that article, you'll see that Amazon just...

Re: MiSTer DE10-Nano Power Supply
I've been using a Mean Well GST25B05-P1J for a while, and it works great. It's 4A, though, not 5. If you really want 5 or more, they do make the GST60A05-P1J, which is a 6A supply. Neither of these comes with a cable to connect it to the wall, though, so you need to buy that separately. It sounds like the original poster already knows this, but for...

If you are looking for a cheap USB hub, search for the 'MakerSpot '4-Port Micro USB OTG Hub' they work well with a MiSTer setup and are great value. This worked really well for me until I got an actual USB board. The one issue I had was that it had didn't work properly with my optical mouse (an old Wheel Mouse Optical), which I chalked up to power...

Re: Drama? What happened to Atari-forum?
As mentioned above, it was good sign that MiSTer should become independent. I didn't move to separate board because i didn't want to occupy my busy time with forum management. More tasks for me - less time for each task. I prefer to concentrate on development than supporting on forum. This makes a lot of sense. Managing a forum can be a huge times...

Right now, I have a Kensington Keyboard for Life:
It's simple, durable, and functional. I'm considering switching to my IBM 1394167, though, since the Mac I've been using it with got a native Mac Model M. The 1394167 would be this thing:
