Do you have the vertical crop (ie. 216p) option enabled, by any chance? That affects analog output as well, not just HDMI.

Once a Bolt dongle is paired it just appears as a regular USB keyboard regardless of OS.

No reason to believe it wouldn't. A keyboard is a keyboard.

From the cores you mentioned it definitely sounds like the SDRAM is the culprit in some way or another.

Re: Expanding the forum to include other retro gaming?
I think this forum could use an Analogue Pocket topic, as often echoed here there's certainly a large enough overlap in MiSTer owners and Pocket owners to justify it.

This forum is very low traffic, I doubt that any new non-MiSTer topics will get much attention (sadly).

I know this is an old thread, but on a similar note, I wonder how feasible it would be to try and fit a MiSTer inside a Framework laptop?

For what it's worth, the RetroTink 4K recently added MiSTer integration features.

Bristles wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:08 amOne beauty of using an external USB HD is that, if you want to copy lots of large ISOs, you can just unplug it from the Mister, plug it straight into your PC, and copy over the files. Really fast, no network to deal with, and your SDCard can be used purely for the OS.
But you can literally do the exact same thing with the SD card as well?

Re: SNAC adapter with USB on both sides?
Is it safe to chain two level shifters?
I ask because the Multisystem user port claims to have a built-in level shifter according to its manual, and I ordered a SNAC adapter from UltimateMister which apparently also has one. I haven't received it yet, but I'm still confused on how all that will interact.

So outside of SNAC, it sounds like the best possible controller for MiSTer is Nintendo's own NSO N64 controller for Switch, right?

If you don't mind being a few weeks out of date and just want the most recent build that doesn't depend on unstable main, it's: https://github.com/RobertPeip/Mister64/ ... 2023_12_13
I successfully tried it today (first time messing with the N64 core, very impressed so far).

Re: What Systems are Supported by MiSTer?
The full list of all "first party" cores (ie. part of the standard MiSTer distribution) is here: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Wiki_MiSTer/wiki/Cores
That doesn't include third party cores (the two most notable sources being Jotego's JTCORES, and Coin-Op Collection).
