Re: Which Racing Wheel Controllers Have You Got Going?
Oof I hadn't thought of this. If its a thrustmaster wheel maybe try using the linked config I posted. I'll try to find the two pedal set that came with my wheel originally and see if this works at some point Sadly, it's a Logitech MOMO Racing Wheel. Logitech has better support on MiSTer for wheels than the Thrustmaster wheel I'm using. Have you tr...

Re: Which Racing Wheel Controllers Have You Got Going?
Stick 2 Test Tilt Right - Clutch Light/Quick Tap (skip this if using the stock two pedal set) If you skip this step you can't use stick 2 at all, as it won't prompt for "stick 2 test tilt down". Is there a way around this for us pauper 2-pedal users? Oof I hadn't thought of this. If its a thrustmaster wheel maybe try using the linked con...

Re: MiSTer FPGA Might Be the Best Piece of Hardware I've Ever Owned
Felt like this for 5 years now. It's truly the gift that keeps on giving. Thanks to Sorg and all of our wonderful devs and hardware providers, we are the most spoiled bunch of retro gamers on earth. Even if it can come across as off-putting to some folks when they hear the way MiSTer is talked about by the people who have experienced it, when you a...

I should have mentioned in the OP this featurette is only on the North American GKIDS Blu-ray release.

Blu-ray release of Mars Express today includes a featurette with the director playing Amiga on MiSTer FPGA
The Blu-ray includes a 40-minute interview with producer Jérémie Périn playing Another World on Amiga using MiSTer FPGA. It's a Sci-Fi animated feature film released by GKIDS. In addition to classic genre films like Robocop and The Matrix, Périn was inspired by Amiga games from his childhood like Another World. He's also a fan of Turrican and King'...

Re: AmigaVision 2024.04.04 Released with 543 New PAL Game Settings, Revision 2024 Demos
Part of the issue here is that Amiga’s output doesn’t cleanly fit into a 240p frame, which is why we have the per-game offsets and scaling. First of all, thanks a lot for the amazing work you're doing with AmigaVision. Is it possible to change a game's offset configuration? I just upgraded to the latest version and on my 1440p monitor, Pang has th...

Re: Depricated.
How do you remove the Disk ones from the VHD? Just by navigating to the install directories and removing everything. You can see what directory the games are in through the normal launcher interface, by choosing one of the options that shows when you select a game. I don't remember exactly which option shows that. Also keep in mind that removing t...

Re: Depricated.
If you're like me and using an SD Card for your MiSTer, you can save a lot of room by deleting games that are broken in this pack, as it seems they likely won't have fixes any time soon. You can save 12GB+ by removing the CD images, and if you want to clear up some room on the .vhd for custom game installations, removing some of the larger disk gam...

Bump n Jump on Intellivision is an excellent port, even better than the NES version IMO. Would be great for a community challenge. I host the ones on the MiSTer Discord btw- currently we're doing Pirate Ship Higemaru

Re: Racing Wheel (Thrustmaster T300RS) Configuration & Usage Guide
Success!!! After a few attempts with no luck, I have finally got my steering wheel/pedals working on the MiSTer/PSX core! I have the Logitech G29, not the Thrustmaster, but M.Walrus' guide was just as helpful! (Can we remove the Thrustmaster specific reference from the thread title)? I used a combo of M.Walrus guide and atrac17's Patreon post here...

Wow! Thanks a bunch. I wanted to check in on the status of Thrustmaster wheel, but expected to have to wade through a ton of not interesting stuff. This was very much appreciated, so thanks for writing this up in a clear and useful fashion :) Glad you found it useful! Other helpful links: These two links will give a good idea of which games you can try with a wheel on PlayStation. NegCon-supported games are the best fit because the device supports analog steering, gas and brakes: http://brittens.org/NegCon.html https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KKozzxgCXMaZb-Gi_hVWL6ABqu4sPMPwYsIbx6ZRq_c/edit#gid=0 ...

Racing Wheel (Thrustmaster T300RS) Configuration & Usage Guide
I've had a great experience with a variety of games on MiSTer using the T300RS, and wanted to share some basic configuration information, per-game configuration settings, and pre-configured input map files to make things easier for folks wanting to try it as well. This wheel provides a lot of great experiences on MiSTer if you know how to configure...

Re: SNAC vs BlisSTer vs Deamonbite
The only light gun known to work properly with BlisSTer is the NES zapper due to it's comparatively low input latency requirements. Listing light guns in general as "should work" is at best, misleading. Stick with daemonbite, other quality USB adapters, and SNAC for special peripherals. Keep it simple and avoid the mess of having to deal ...

Re: Which Racing Wheel Controllers Have You Got Going?
Great post M.Walrus, thank you for sharing your experience!! You've inspired me to take another crack at getting my Logitech G29 setup to work. I too was noticing the "double-press" when trying to configure my clutch pedal. I had to do the same light/quick press to make it only configure one function instead of two. Now I'm starting to w...

Re: How to Use Racing Wheels?
Yes, that's USB. But then I should select Wheel on psx core options? It depends on what the game originally supported. There were a wide range of analog peripherals that had varied levels of support. In general, you want to use "Wheel-NegCon" mode where possible as this gives you full analog for steering, gas and brakes. Gran Turismo is ...

Re: Racing Wheel Controllers?
I've used the Thrustmaster T300RS with three pedals set (T3PA) with great results on MiSTer. Configuration takes some fiddling but with the latest update to linux the gas pedal is no longer defaulted to the brake as it was before. I added further notes about using this wheel along with links to helpful hardware combination key switches and input ma...

Re: Ys Book II Bug?
I played through ys book 2 a couple times already in the most recent tgfx core and did not encounter this issue. It could be a game bug depending on the equipment gathered when encountering the boss. It would be hard to try and reproduce without knowing specifics of your level + inventory with a save file preferably

Re: devil's crush ball sticks to flipper
I've been playing devil's Crush for the past week and having an odd issue. The ball will appear to stick to the flipper (mostly if not exclusively) the left flipper. Sometimes it will cause you to lose a ball. I've tried a couple different controllers (wired and wireless), but I'm guessing it's not controller related because an observer can see it...

Re: devil's crush ball sticks to flipper
Hi. I've played this quite a bit on MiSTer, and I believe I've encountered what you're talking about. Ball physics are very good in this game, but not perfect. Long angled edges that are movable sometimes cause some weird things to happen with the ball, and if you try and wait until its at the very end of the paddles it will rarely do what you show...

Re: Additional cropping mode needed? (296 or 294px)
I was specifically referring to HDMI output with my original post. CRT has no issues for me, but i would like hdmi to have the option to cut off overscan at the appropriate amounts to make games not have janky edge graphics at times. It is very rare, but there are times when the 304px option is not enough to clean up some scenes in games, like in t...

Additional cropping mode needed? (296 or 294px)
It's very rare, but in some cases, the existing core options do not crop accurately to what is displayed on a CRT, creating glitchy looking graphics. I found an example of this at the end of Riding Hero, as seen here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/699066871 I toggle between the 320 and 304 pixel mode in that short clip, and neither of them get the i...
