I did some more testing, with Black Tiger, the problem persists with vsync_adjust=2.

How is your video_mode set?

Re: Black Tiger is out of sync

Update
with my Eizo FlexScan the best for BlackTiger is

;video_mode=0 #commented out
vsync_adjust=0

Another working combo is
video_mode=0
vsync_adjust=2
but here takes longer to get a stable picture.

Re: Black Tiger is out of sync

It seems that the template I used for my MiSTer.ini file was a bit too old (>2 years).
I tried an actual one from MiSTer Devel Github and it works now.

//correction
Its not the ini file, it was the video_mode=0 setting on my test-mister setup using an Eizo FlexScan 2795.

If I disable video_mode=0 i get…

instead of an error.

Re: Black Tiger is out of sync

I am „the friend“ from RealLarry.

My „video_mode“ is set to „0“ (1280x720@60).
My MiSTer with older Black Tiger works fine with 60Hz on my FHD TV.

My tty2oled-Test-MiSTer with the latest Black Tiger Version shows Signal Error and 120Hz on my Eizo Monitor.
I don‘t have an VRR Options in my ini file.

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

Did you configure the interfaces of TapTo and tty2oled correctly in your config files and stop the TapTo probing?

I need (to find my) TapTo Hardware at first, then in can do some tests.

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

@all If you add USB hardware to you mister it can happen that your display get another ttyUSB Port assigned. Use the dmesg command from the troubleshooting page and start with only the display connected to MiSTer. Then reboot with the new device connected tho see the difference. The „lsusb“ command can help as well. Try it. I am using my tty2oled d...

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

The user ini should contain ONLY lines which are different to the system config. In your case maybe only the TTYDEV line. Do not copy the whole system ini to the user ini. As far as i know the UU is created by TapTo and his interface probing. Set this to „false“. You write tty2oled is assigned to ttyUSB1. But you can‘t assign a device to an interfa...

If you need an additional delay add a new line with “sleep [delay]” to
to file /media/fat/tty2oled/tty2oled.sh
after the line

Code: Select all

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

I hope that, if you change the boot order (and add a delay) TapTo has done his probing and tty2oled can start normal.

Have you tried to change the boot order?

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)

Some ideas…
The easiest is to use a fix defined port with TapTo.

TapTo can check the ini files of tty2oled (if they exist) and doesn‘t probe the configured port.

Start tty2oled after TapTo.
Try to change the order in the startup file.

We can add a startup delay to the tty2oled script.

You can try (just ideas) -Try all available USB Ports if not already done -Try another USB Cable -disabling the tty2oled autostart to see if UU is still shown after a restart/reboot There must be a line in „/media/fat/linux/user-startup.sh“ which must be comme...
