Re: Main Menu OSD Constantly Scrolling Down When VGA Connected

Well, I think I may have resolved this. After another search I was able to find an issue on the Menu_MiSTer github from about a year ago - https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Menu_MiSTer/issues/22 - where the OP realized that their updater accidentally got set to download the DB9 fork of the menu. I checked my updater options and sure enough it had so...

Re: Racing Wheel Controllers?

So, I got my wheel working as a proof of concept in the PSX core: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTh8pJ7a_Vk It required some changes to the Main MiSTer input code but fundamentally this isn't a hard problem. My proof of concept would not work with anything except Fanatec wheels though but it would not be hard to add support for others. We are cu...

Re: Tetris The Grand Master?

Yes I can confirm Tetris The Grand Master Port indeed works on PSX core. This was using the same rom files from the original packages in a playable format I believe.

This was from the early PSX Core release. Still works great today.

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Seems to support bin cue. I bet REDUMP files will work perfectly. Currently can only load Bios until Mister Main is updated. Not sure how far along this is.

Bios will need to be renamed to boot.bin

I'm totally in for this. Same as above, mine have been in storage. Too lazy to setup.

Re: Screen Rotation on CRT Over VGA to SCART

FoxbatStargazer wrote: Mon Jun 21, 2021 10:30 pm VGA monitors have plenty of resolution to use the scaler, which is needed to rotate some cores. From the Analog I/O port use vga_scaler=1. For the HDMI port converted to VGA use direct_video=0 and pick an appropriate video mode (like say a 4:3 one such as 1024x768)
Is there an example of this working?

Re: Screen Rotation on CRT Over VGA to SCART

Is it possible to rotate if we're using direct video HDMI to VGA since it's passing through the HDMI?

Do you have a link to the USB cable you used on your MT32pi? What is that other cable connected on the top of it? Looks like it’s on the pi?

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

So my trusty PS1 died. Figured it'll still serve as a nice case for the MiSTer :) I might have to spray paint it at some point  IMG_0368.jpg IMG_0367.jpg I like where this is going. Maybe a cleaner cut under the lid? Might be able to use some of the parts from this kit to clean up the IO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eOFiuv2PGQ https://ww...

Stuck on AO486 Splash screen

Anyone have a solution when getting stuck on AO486 splash screen? Expected Behavior: Select one of the memory options loads into A0486 Menu. A0486 splash screen will show for a few seconds. Actual behavior: Selcting any of the memory options will not load AO486 Menu. Gets stuck on AO486 Splash screen. Boot and 300 VHD are selected appropriately. I ...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

NEC PC-FX MiSTer project: My goal was to rehome the MiSTer inside a PC-FX shell without modifying the shell. I also wanted to load full EverDrive libraries onto it for every core that interested me, so that meant I needed a lot of storage and a micro SD wasn't going to cut it. Using a single power supply, a 1TB HDD and a USB hub, I was able to des...

I've almost given up with Wi-Fi on Mister. I think current wi-fi adapters are overheating causing them to fail with such a small size. I have one of these that still needs to be tested from my Odroid UX4. I'll let you guys know if it works. https://ameridroid.com/products/wifi-module-5?variant=7238044450850 Happy to report this solution works grea...

Re: Saturn

we've seen more lift recently with Saturn considering a development board is being worked on. Sure enough we'll get there, and that day will be total bliss. Imagine if that SH2 tophat was used in combo with FPGA for the rest of the system. I wouldn't be opposed to that. It would be a few steps closer I suppose.
