Re: USB Hard Drive Hurdle
Thanks for the responses guys. It took me a while to get back because I had to wait for some adapters from Amazon, etc. I removed the old powered USB hub that came with my MiSTer. I then replaced it with a powered usb hub strip. To that I connected my 8TB powered USB Hard Drive formatted to exFAT, and my wireless keyboard. I turned it on, ran Updat...

USB Hard Drive Hurdle
Hi. I've been using the Mister for almost a year now and it's been fantastic. The other day, I got an 8TB Seagate external USB drive to store my collection. By all accounts I should have just needed a "games" directory on an NTFS file system and should have been good to go. I'm using the "default" usb hub that you can usually bu...

MAME Conventions
Hi, I just got a MiSTer and I have no idea how MAME roms work. I've got some arcade cores to work - like Pac-Man, but a handful don't and I want to know what I'm doing wrong. The games that don't work usually say there's a file missing, but the MAME naming conventions confound me and I don't know what I'm missing. Rush 'N Attack only has one zip fi...

Re: Corrupt Installer Software files?
Thanks for the reply. This is just weird. I downloaded from the link you provided and got the same errors. Then, just in case my antivirus was pulling any shenanigans, I downloaded it on my Linux machine - it got the same error. SOMETHING is going on, I just need to figure out what it is... -=[EDIT]=- Ok, I found out what it was. Hovering over the ...

Corrupt Installer Software files?
I've downloaded both release_20200618.rar and release_20200429.rar from https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/SD-Installer-Win64_MiSTer . 7zip on Windows 10 64bit tells me they're not .rar files. So I copied them to my Linux file server and used Unrar on them - and it tells me they're either corrupt or not .rar files. What am I doing wrong? I'd really ra...
