Re: 3rd Party USB Hub Support
Thanks, I'll take a look. And also some more investigation. It's not worked properly with the MiSTer ever, until tonight, and I've no idea why.

Re: 3rd Party USB Hub Support
The hub is powered, but I'll try with a different powered hub, see if that makes any difference. I was just wondering if there were any known compatibility issues before I went chasing cables down the back of my desk!

Re: 3rd Party USB Hub Support
Can I ask what brand/model? The one I use is one of the regular cheap ones Amazon sells; a UGreen 4-host USB switch, and it's worked perfectly with several machines. If there's another one out there that works better I've no problem swapping out

3rd Party USB Hub Support
Has anyone seen any issues with a 3rd party USB hub daisied off the official USB hub? General idea is: MiSTer > Official USB hub > USB switcher > 3rd party USB hub > USB devices Other devices------------------^ Just so I can use the one keyboard and mouse for different things, but currently it'll work with anything else plugged into the switch, but...

Official MiSTer Case for USB Bracket (EU)
Does anyone know of anywhere in Europe selling the version of the official case supporting the USB bracket rather than bridge? Ultimatemister.com does do the case but I don't need the USB hub as I already have one. Edit: Seems not all official USB hubs are identical. misterfpga.co.uk usb hubs look similar to misteraddons.com hubs, but both are a sl...

Re: Local Storage Options
I'm not looking to extend the storage, just have separate/secondary storage. For example, using the original small SD card for cores, but a second larger SD or hard drive basically for games, so whatever VHD images Minimig might need, for example.

Local Storage Options
I was just wondering, what do most people use for local storage if they want their MiSTers with as much as possible locally? i.e. Every ROM and core they can get their hands on? I understand I can replace the SD included with the DE10 Nano with a 256GB SanDisk or similar, but if you have an i/o card, are there may cores that do not support the seco...

Re: DS4 vs 8bitdo vs Blisster vs Other
Thanks all. I've just opted for the official USB hub and an 8bitdo M30. I doubt I'll notice the difference, but as I don't have a case and likely won't do for months, I can always chop and change later if I feel like the experiment.

DS4 vs 8bitdo vs Blisster vs Other
Another beginner question. I've got half the bits I need, but I've not ordered either a Blisster or a USB hub yet as I've been researching. I am also swimming in controllers. With faster USB polling, is there any point in the Blisster? I don't mind dropping the cash if it's really worth it, but if a wired DS4 or DS3, or as I've been reading, the ra...

Re: Digital vs Analogue I/O Board
Thanks both. I went looking a bit more and found this:
Choose Standard IO if you want built-in analog video: enables dual digital + analog video output
Choose Digital IO if you want an on-board power switch and an extra 40 GPIO pins (currently unused)
So that's pretty useful info for people new to this as well.

Digital vs Analogue I/O Board
Hi,
I have a pretty basic question, but what's the difference between the digital and analogue i/o boards available for the Mister? Is it simply a choice between HDMI and VGA output, no other differences?
