Re: ROMweasel 0.9.13
This is a fantastic script which makes everything very easy to use. For the file /media/fat/Scripts/.config/romweasel/settings.sh, I updated it but made the mistake of not removing the '#' character in the line. Once I fixed it. I was able to download files to the correct place without issues. I did find one issue with downloading PSX files and tha...

Re: Update All 2.0 Is Here
This is a good script and I am enjoying using it. It did have me confused when I tried using it via SSH and the terminal was set for vt100, since every time I tried to bring up the settings menu it would crash. This was easily solved by changing the terminal type to xterm-256 colours. It might be worth checking the term type at some point. This is ...

Re: MiSTerArch
I have been using MisterArch for the past couple of weeks and have hit a couple of minor problems. The main one that has bugged me for a while has been that the certificates package was old and as such the certificate had expired or at least after updates to it had replaced the original. This is what I did to resolve it. To check if you have the pr...

Re: SparcStation Core
Success at last! I have installed Solaris 8 after many missteps. This is what I did:- 1. I used the following Media Size Calculator to come up with a rough idea of what the disk should look like. http://www.csgnetwork.com/mediasizecalc.html An example that they give is - WD Caviar AC28400 Drive H=16, C=16383, S=63, B=512, Size=8.4GB 2. I then used ...

Re: SparcStation Core
After a couple of days, trying to install Solaris 8 I have finally cracked it. The problem is that the reset function on the core doesn't work but the installer passes the details of the slice information in the reboot command. Once the mini root is installed, reboot has run and the system has hung. Reboot MiSTer and restart the core with just the ...

Re: SparcStation Core
@grabulosaure I also can confirm that the CDROM Is working. I got as far as copying over the Solaris 8 mini-root. Is there any reason why reboot causes the core to hang and reset from the OSD does nothing?
Keep up the good work, I am loving this core.

Re: Lets actually try Hybrid Emulation
Hi Coolbho3k, thank you for your work on this. I have just tried it to see what the performance gains would like with UAE4ARM that Foft compiled. Wow! Using CPU MAX = 1200MHz sys info shows the following:- Sysinfo 1200MHz.jpg Using CPU MAX = 1200MHz sys info shows the following:- Sysinfo 1000MHz.jpg Using CPU MAX = 800MHz sys info shows the followi...

Re: MiSTerArch
Hi amstar, thank you for your initial work on this project. The question of overwrite was based on the instructions from the MOnSieur Github page and I had misread it and applied it to all use of the pacman command. "When installing MOnSieurFPGA packages for the first time, use pacman -Sy PackageName --overwrite “*”. This will set up the corre...

Re: MiSTerArch
All, I thought that I would try the ArchLinux setup for MiSTer and have a go at installing LXDE desktop environment. I admit that I am not an ArchLinux guru and find it hard going compared with Centos or Ubuntu. I followed the instructions on the following MOnSieurFPGA page for the initial install. https://github.com/MOnSieurFPGA/MOnSieurFPGA-SD_Im...

Re: Lets actually try Hybrid Emulation
Firstly, I would like to thank foft for all his work that he has done on hybrid emulation for the Amiga implementation on MiSTer. I have played with the uae4arm implementation that foft put together, but always had problems getting it to work. Yesterday I had some spare time to investigate what the problems were. This post is a summary of the thing...

Syphon Filter US is now working with the 9Dec21 fixes. The game is playable but some GPU problems. I am guessing that the larger DMA and CDROM fix cured it.

Re: Preparing neogeo roms for MiSTer
I had a problem with the ROMs and couldn't find the Darksoft ROM rollup-pack. The NeoGeo core would show 000-lo.lo loading and nothing else. It had me puzzled completely for a while. Yesterday after several weeks of playing with this I figured out what the problem was. The MAME ROM's that I had were not in the correct format. I found the following ...

A314 style ethernet networking
Firstly may I thank everybody who worked on the RTG implementation. It is superb and made me forget that I was using a MiSTer board, I thought that I was using a real Amiga. I have been circling this for several weeks, ever since Sorglig announced the shared filesystem that was based on the A314 raspberry Pi interface board. I noticed that there is...

I used that site and it was very easy to do. I also used the tips in the "PPP Network with Miami DX" topic. viewtopic.php?t=82
Do a google search for the Miami DX keys.
