Re: 8bitdo USB adapter gets stuck and registers no input after hard reboot
Not sure if this ever got a permanent solution in another thread somewhere but I have had this same problem for years. I am referring specifically to the OP's issue of the 8bitdo USB Adapter will not reconnect properly to the MiSter after a cold reboot. Though I have yet to see a permanent solution, I was messing around with it again today and I di...

Re: MSU-1
The most recent public release build from yesterday seems to be working nearly perfectly. I haven't noticed any music stopping (like it did in previous builds). It'd be great if an option could be added to specifically adjust the MSU Music Volume like the SD2SNES. I have a mix of ROMS and some have the corrected volume and others don't. So some ga...

I'm getting sound FX and no music.
These roms work on real hardware with an Everdrive.
There's a past thread about MSU-1:

My younger sister sold off our childhood NES and SNES collections without my permission. In fact, I told her straight out NO to selling the NES collection and she did it anyway. The SNES collection she sold without asking or telling me. Burns me to this day... The consoles I don't care about, they're easily replaceable. Same with the games if I rea...

Re: Problem with new MiSTer
Cardboard and tape are some of the worst things to expose electronics to. ESD damage usually presents itself in the form of intermittent problems such as the ones you’re having, so I bet it’s that. The DE10 nano is a development board typically be used in an EPA (ESD protected area) so it doesn’t have much or any such protection measures built in,...

personally i'd try process of elimination.. i'm sorry if i sound patronising.. go right back to basics. install the mister s/ware (not using mr fusion) and run it on just the de10 without any daughterboards or memory. use an sdcard you know works. don't run update all.. just copy across a couple of cores for testing.. check to see if that works. Re: Problem with new MiSTer
someone has already said what I would suggest, if you are using a add-on power switch that plugs into the power cable, remove it then try.. the switch might not be delivering the correct power. Thanks, this was one of the first troubleshooting steps I did and there was no change. The only thing I haven't done is to put the board under a magnifier ...

are you using a nobreak or something? I had similar problems when my mister didnt power on one day, even the ps4 didnt boot up normally, sometimes had orange light. the nobreak was the problem, after getting a new one. So far so good. I've never heard of the term nobreak, but after a google search I'm guessing that's slang for a UPS? If so, I've n...

A very nice and kind friend actually posted me an already setup sdcard to try which was really kind of him and I was thrilled to get it this morning in the post so I put it in and turned on and the MiSTer booted up in seconds. I spent the next hour plus playing Wizard of Wor and Berzerk which was a total delight, but sadly it all goes to hell then...

If you're looking for 100% accuracy, you may want to try original hardware. Even though FPGA cores may be extremely accurate, looking for 100% may not be possible.AtomicShroom wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 12:52 pm The whole point of an FPGA solution is 100% total accuracy. So yes, even if the game is broken in so many different ways, this is the exact experience that I'm looking for.

I am currently having this same issue. Dip switches are in proper configuration, and I tried cycling them all a few times and no luck. Sometimes I have to cycle the in-line power switch 10-15 times before it will boot, but when it does finally boot it works flawlessly. I have tried multiple in-line switches, and also bypassing the switch completel...

You could try the mra file for Street Fighter Alpha 3 Challengers Edition (USA 210408) where everything is already unlocked. Hey thanks! I didn't know this version existed for the MiSTer. I tried googling info on it and only found one tweet that mentioned there was a readme file on how to use this version for unlocks. But I couldn't find this read...

Every search I've done points to Dramatic Battle only being for SFZ2A, not SFA2 or SFZ2. You are right, Street Fighter Alpha series is known as Street Fighter Zero in Japan and Asia. Confusingly there was a special version of SFZ2 in Japan/Asia region only known as Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha. It had unique extra features not present in regular Ze...

Every search I've done points to Dramatic Battle only being for SFZ2A, not SFA2 or SFZ2. Hi, thanks for the reply. Though I am confused. What is SFZ2A? I've played Dramatic Battle on all 3 versions of...

CPS2 - SF Alpha 3 (EURO) - Codes / Dramatic Battle Not Working
Hi All, I checked Jotego's github and didn't see this as a current or previous issue, so before I post in there, I'd like to make sure I am not the only one with this problem. In the CPS2 cores of Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 (both are EURO region roms, not the JAP SFZ2 version) the codes to unlock features such as (SFA2 - Dram...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
My first attempt at a custom MiSTer case. I integrated the SNAC adapter with NES controller port since that is the only light gun I use and have nostalgia for. I had to do a lot of drilling of small holes and filing to get the ports right. It's not perfect, but not bad for my first attempt. Do you think you're getting proper airflow without any ve...

Just an update to this. I commented on Jotego's Github thread regarding the 3-4 player issue with CPS15. I am not sure if any updates were made, but he suggested running the update again to fix. I ran the Update_All script last night and both the CPS1 and CPS15 files updated during the Jotego portion of the update. C&D now works perfectly for t...

Did you enable MAME and HBMAME GETTERS in update all script? Edit: The GETTERS have nothing to do with you problem, sorry. The mras should come from Jotego, I checked mine and it is still dated from March 27, but the Alternatives are dated May 21. I just checked on his Github and it seems that only the alternatives mras have been updated. Thank yo...

From Jotego : RBF files are ready now. Just run the updater. I ran the update all script and still cannot do 3 players in C&D. Went into the configuration menu of the game to test the inputs and it doesn't recognize the 3rd player inputs. 3rd controller works fine with other games. I manually removed the old JTCPS15 RBF file and watched the up...

The only large delays (more than a day or two) I've seen were items shipped internationally. Especially from Europe and Asia. Anything shipped within the US has been fine.
