Saving Games in ZX Spectrum Core
Hi folks, hoping someone can help me. This seems like a silly problem and I'm sure there is a way to so this, only I can't figure out how. Last night I was playing a game and wanted to save my progress to continue at a later timeas it's one of these old management / sim type of games. As most of these types of games do, the game asks me to insert a...

Re: Mt32-Pi Akumajou Dracula issue - comparison with an older pre-release build
Not sure what your problem is, but I can say that I dont have that repeating sound issue you get with the dec14 version Thanks Brettster, your response has actually helped ... "repeated sound issue"! Prior to the MT32-Pi test build there was another test build version that enabled midi through the Arm side of the DE10, only you had to tu...

Mt32-Pi Akumajou Dracula issue - comparison with an older pre-release build
Hi folks, I've been playing around with the various builds of the X68000 core for quite a long time, but have only just gotten around to trying the officially released version from around mid December. I've seen people mention in various places with regards to the midi aspect of the core that Akumajou Dracula is the "go to game" to test (...

Edit: - Seems redefining my controls in the MiSTer main menu has changed something.

Re: Community sourced game list for AO486 Top 500
I've tried to edit the Wiki list with my addition, not sure if I've done it right but I've tried to add "Rusty". It's a Japanese game originally on the PC-88 that was ported to DOS and very much a Castlevania rip-off.

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases
Quick question, is the latest midi update of this core compatible with the MT32-Pi yet? I've got the midi audio working with uart & the internal Arm processor (and although it does sound nice the music trips up over itself) so gave the MT32-Pi a try but not getting anything from that. If this core is compatible with the MT32-Pi, is there any ch...

Re: Arcade MRAs not downloaded
This is happening on a completely fresh install, either using MrFusion or the old fashioned "manual method" of setting up an sd card. There are no previous logs / cache files from previous runnings of the script as it will be the first time the script has run on a new sd card, I've only discovered this after trying to help out a new user,...

I've also been informed by a new user that the scripts folder isn't being populated with the additional scripts. Part of the same issue?

Re: Arcade MRAs not downloaded
Same issue here as well while setting up a new new card. Inside the _arcade folder I have the _alternates folder along with it's mra files, and the cores folder. But none of the primary mra's are being pulled down that live in the root of the _arcade folder.

Re: MD+/MSU Games Are Here!
Thanks for this build, aberu. Sadly, doesn't fix the issues I'm seeing with Ghouls 'n Ghosts. At this stage I'm going to have to assume it's something to do with the GnG MSU patch. I've just tested the author's Sonic 1 MSU patch & that's working perfectly.

Re: MD+/MSU Games Are Here!
I've tried both Relikk's "Arcade Soundtrack" and ArcadeTV's "X68000 Soundtrack" packs. Also, both cheat & non-cheat versions of the patch with the same results on every attempted playthrough. Rom patched with Flips, and my original rom CRC matches the readme. Would have been nice to play this with the X68k soundtrack, but .....

Re: MD+/MSU Games Are Here!
Has anybody tried the relatively new MD+ MSU version of Ghouls & Ghosts on MiSTer yet? Before I go reporting issues to the author of the patch I guess I want to make sure I'm not alone in seeing issues. The coder of the patch admits that it wasn't tested on MiSTer. I'm seeing constant freezing and locking. It's happened in various different pla...

Re: Acetronic MPU 1000 + Compatibles
Simple games work fairly well, more advanced ones which depend on exact timing of interrupts, or object collisions don't work as well. I'd like to connect the SGS2636 video controller to the FPGA with level shifters to properly characterise that chip. (Datasheet is 4 pages long and emulators don't work well and cannot really be used as references)...

Acetronic MPU 1000 + Compatibles
I would love to see a core for this system. Sold in the UK as the "Acetronic" & known elsewhere in Europe under several different names. I remember this as the very first gaming system I ever played on.

Re: Super Hang-on responsiveness (control and speed)
This game was never that responsive on real hardware, it always seemed to take an eternity to register any direction changes if memory serves me correctly. It may have even been deliberate with the career mode as the bike started out rubbish and almost uncontrollable at the start and got better as you bought new parts ... eventually getting to a po...
