Re: Who's in charge of the Mister Discord?

IRC died a natural death, the same way that old computers, BBSes, Bearshare, Compuserve, Norton Ghost, telephone boxes, windy handles for the windows in your car and cassette tapes have/did. I'm not disagreeing, mIRC was ace back in the day, i used to be on it every night chatting to like minded retro geeks, sharing ascii art, talking nonsense. But...

Re: Let’s Make Amiga CD32 Support Happen (Update: It Works!)

Guys, we'd love some help on getting games working in AmigaVision for the CD32 side of things. 127 of 156 showing as working currently. Tracker list is here... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iNO0tp8hlV959-MnsI8S7j5xPWghIR0zdI9LwVyBF2w/edit?gid=0#gid=0 ISO, BIN, CHD all load, if you can try any variants of images and options in the CD32Emu ...

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates

AmigaVision is not in the "update all" ecosystem, but don't let that stop you. So grab AmigaVision (very first link in Limis post), follow the download links to Archive and grab all the CHD files you need, or are allowed to legally download ;) AmigaVision comes with a very good readme to follow, very easy to set up and get going with Amig...

Re: Spectrum Next Games?

So far, the Mister Next core is based on a KS1 variation of the Next, or at least an older Next OS version. I don't think any of the Next KS2 exclusive games will work on MiSTer so far. We will need an updated core, it'll come in time i guess.

Re: Any interest in a MiSTer DOSBox pack?

Absolutely, so if you plan to have games that aren't represented elsewhere, then i'm all for it :) And giving the end user more shizzle to play with, that can't be a bad thing eh. I did something similar with DamienDs WinUAE Game Collection. Created an addon set of games i felt worthy of inclusion (he didn't mostly, he did add some...) Whenever he ...

Re: Any interest in a MiSTer DOSBox pack?

Maybe the games that don't seem to work well in 0mhz but do work well in DosBox (its all running on the same fpga/cpu in the end), can be looked at to determine why? I'm also a "want it all" kinda guy, but i hate overlap in these projects too. I don't need 17 versions of Day Of The Tentacle, i don't care if it runs in dosbox or on the ao4...

Re: Amiga 16-bit AHI audio support (Update: Released!)

Hi, I am working on my own Minimig project, and implemented a partial Toccata sound card in SystemVerilog. The card only does playback of audio, since recording doesn't make much sense in my project. Given that it works in my Minimig project, it might be of interest for the Mister project as well. https://github.com/ranzbak/fpga-toccata I don't ow...

Hi. What's the current status of this project. All i've been reading about in this thread (skimmed a lot granted), is problems loading games. I read about the ISOs not working, then getting fixed in the core. Is this correct? How many games are included in this "top 300" that still don't work today? Why were they included if they don't wo...

Hi Richard. I knew my post was a long shot. Sometimes its the easiest thing though so had to throw it out there even though i knew it sounded condescending. Re: Weird Behaviour From the ZX81 Core

No-one seems to have answered your question here. If you press F12 and check the options, for games like 3D Monster Maze and Mazogs, you're gonna need 16k ram. If its set to 1k, you'll have issues :) I've played with the ZX81 core quite a bit as it was my first machine back in 1982, Mazogs was one of my favourites. I don't recall what the initial d...

Sorry no. Still have issue. I imagine setting MiSTer up from scratch will sort it, it probably is some settings stuck somewhere conflicting with newer ones, the issue for me though is not just with Sega cores, it happens on the main menu on first boot! Hi Akeley. I haven't downloaded this collection, but i am very curious about it. I do love a good Amiga collection, MegaAGS is my goto on the MiSter but as you've said, its heavily WHDLoad based and ADF games are bit more "manual" in the newly added base core setups. MegaAGS has a very nice demoscene collection in it too though which stan...

Re: Slow Transfer Speeds from MiSTer to PC

I know this thread is a little old, but found it via googling for WinSCP transfer speeds to Mister. I wanted to speed things up a bit as 40-400kb isn't good enough when transferring 10gb files :) So... Just changed my protocol from SFTP (seemed to be capped around 400kb/sec) to FTP in the WinSCP connection manager. Now i'm getting a little over 5mb...
