Re: Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (v1.0)[Meduza Team]

It is possible the mod itself uses areas of the console that aren't typically used. So, you won't run across said issues with other titles. This is the problem with mods/hacks. I'm glad we can limit it down to pretty much the core/mod itself. Sorry I don't have much else to say...but these things happen and its not a bad thing to reach out for solu...

Re: Save States Master List

So if I add to this to the rom, and then I put the rom on my MiSTer it will now have level select, save states, etc. depending on the hack. Now that is awesome. Are there arcade hacks like this? Thank you. It won't have level select or "save states" per say. It will simply save after each level completed for you to resume later. It's jus...

Re: Save States Master List

Please forgive me, I'm new to MISTer. Could you expand on this or post a tutorial. Thanks. It isn't just for MiSTer, it's for OG hardware too. So, just treat the rom patching like you would be using it for OG hardware. For tutorials, you will have to follow each set of directions per title. They are typically included on the rom hacks page. Now, t...

Is there a tutorial out there for the SRAM mods. Stage select is the very reason I want save states. 1942 def needs it.

ROMHACKING.NET

The site has an online patcher too. So, you don't need to know too much other than the directions in each readme file. Most require the USA REDUMP Romset.

I do think at some point, someone will go back and do it. However, in the meantime, there's a bunch of SRAM mods for Genesis and SNES. So, that's a solid work around.

I think the issue is Mister writes data to microsd when you open the mister menu. if you hard or soft reset mister w/o opening the menu, data wont be saved.

^ This. I tend to forget about this when I go back and forth between real hardware and the MiSTer. You gotta remember to open the OSD menu to actually save to the SD.

I think it only supports RGB. If you want component you'll need to get the HD Retrovision cables, or a cable that converts the signal to Component.

Re: Help with Configuration of a SEGA HSS-0130 with Daemonbite 2x SEGA SATURN

I have the same stick. I didn’t run into much issue. You might try and delete the input devices and reset their settings. The next option would be to check the soldering points on the PCB of the stick. Mine came from JP with a super gun mod. It wasn’t disclosed got the stick for under $200. I had to upgrade the buttons and had the solder freshened ...

Re: Which Racing Wheel Controllers Have You Got Going?

I tested and got working Logitech G29 and G290. The only issue I faced with the two wheels were brakes not behaving "correctly." However, I believe by follow the directions for setup on the MiSTer Main but swapping Clutch for Brakes on Outrun, led to me resolving the issue on that particular game. Both wheels worked for Playstation core j...

I was able to get it to work...magically. Following the directions to a T led to the same issue occurring over and over again. This led to the brakes working correctly via the brake pedal. Not sure why. Bu...

I could check later tonight. I would have to get my PS4 out of storage and I cannot confirm PS5. Though, I'd say it should be a safe bet if it works on PS4 it has a high possibility to work on PS5. It does work well with the PC. I have used a Sega Saturn Virtua Stick Pro HSS-130 and tried a few PC titles.

Analog Video is “wavy” on Arcade Cores

Good day everyone! I’m having an issue with the analog video out on my 36FV310 while playing Arcade Cores on the MiSTer. I’ve tested my various consoles and the console cores and I haven’t had this issue pop up. So, the problem doesn’t occur when using the SNES core for example. It’s rather new actually. I think I started noticing it in the last we...

I've not been especially impressed with Retro-Bit's controllers, compared to the M30 the Megadrive and Saturn pads didn't feel nearly as premium or solidly built. Both got returned pretty sharpish. I mostly vouch for the M30 as well. I just wanted to comment on Retro-Bits Saturn controllers. I just recently got into the Sega Saturn. Bought OG hard...

Re: Issues with M30 (Genesis 2.4ghz using SNAC) playing Xenocrisis

I know this might not be the answer you are looking for, but honestly this game is best played using Dual Analog Sticks. If you have a DS3/DS4 or DualSense just use that and you'll have a great experience. They are also super low latency when hooked up via a cable. I've mostly gone back to using USB. A lot of the point was just testing purposes. S...
