Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Hi all, I am having issues with getting the rumble functionality to work on my NSO N64 (using bluetooth) and the Brawler 64 NSO edition (using both d and x input modes). Am I doing anything wrong or are these controllers not able to vibrate yet? I have the Brawler 64 NSO, and the Tribute 64, and rumble currently does not work on the Brawler, but d...

Has anyone had any luck with getting rumble to work on a variety of controllers? All of mine do not vibrate at all.

Re: Is there a way to ignore specific cores?
I have got it working now but I see that one of the limitations of doing this is that it doesn't work with the newer downloader if you are using the update_all script with the default settings. It is not the end of the world and I have configured it to use the old update.sh one but now the update process takes a lot longer again. Oh well, you canno...

Re: MiSTer Multisystem - All-in-One System
Thanks for the feedback, and I'm really happy you feel it's a good system. We are listening to what the community wants in 2022 and beyond, all and any feedback is very much welcome, encouraged and needed. On the expansion port cover, (dust cover) this was originally a click-in fitting part, but some of the early testing indicated this was frustra...

Is there a way to ignore specific cores?
I am not a newcomer to MiSTer but I have a doubt that probably many have. Is there a way to tell the update or update_all scripts to ignore certain cores? While I love the nature of MiSTer and the constant progress and new cores being released, I find myself only using a handful of them on a regular basis and don't like having to scroll through the...

Re: MiSTer Multisystem - All-in-One System
I got mine yesterday and I have to agree with everyone else's reviews. The new board is very well designed and the quality of the 3D printed case is high. The fully assembled MMS feels dense and very solid. The only thing I would change right now is how the expansion cover is secured as it is very easy to remove or drop while moving the unit. This ...

Re: Slow Transfer Speeds from MiSTer to PC
Apologies for bumping an old thread. I am seeing very slow speeds when copying files to the USB SSD over LAN (no wifi), around 400KB/s. Is this normal? and is there a way to improve transfer speeds to the SSD? Copying to the SD Card is something like 8MB/S which is slow but acceptable. It's not the end of the world as I can just plug it into the co...

I’m curious about Sorgelig’s opinion on this thing. Has he said anything? He did recently post this in the Facebook MiSTer group: "Played with 3D printing. Used Juri Fossaroli 3D model. Adopted to Keychron K3 keyboard and all connectors on the back. Used resin printer (Phrozen Mighty 4K). Originally i wanted to integrate MiSTer into Amiga A12...

I got mine recently (from Aliexpress, 2 mini hdmi) and it seems to work fine using an old amazon cable I had lying around. It is able to power on connected directly to a computer, a MiSTer USB hub or a 5v charger. I use atrac17's preconfigured .ini with 6x modelines and so far everything has worked fine, with full screen and a very nice image quali...

Ok. It is really hard to find a 5pin to female short cable.... any suggestions from your side which one to buy online, as you are from UK I am also trying to find one (in the UK) but so far no luck... I am now thinking of passing the usb cable through the scart hole and connecting it to the back usb ports as a workaround but not sure if that would...

Audio Filters are already a feature: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Filters_MiSTer/tree/master/Filters_Audio You can set it in the menu as well as globally for all cores in the ini, e.g."afilter_default=LPF2000_3tap.txt Has anyone produced a guide on what they do and which ones are best for each core? I’m having trouble understanding which o...

I got my ram from https://misterfpga.co.uk a few weeks ago. It plays everything fine except Punisher. The weird thing is that if Punisher is the first thing I boot up after the mister has been off for awhile it works perfect. I can leave it on and play it as many times I want without it crashing. However, if I load another core or even just reset ...

Re: Unibios change region defaults.
The Unibios defaults to Europe because there's generally no reason to use the US region on Neo-Geo, it is usually worse than Europe (more censorship by default, etc.) Is there a place where we can find about these censorship changes? I tend to use the JAP version of the games because in some cases it enables blood or "improved physics" (...

Re: Would a Super Game Boy core/function be possible?
With a good GB/GBC core and other easy ways to play the games on TV this will be a very low priority request but I would personally love seeing it implemented, having owned a SGB growing up. Donkey Kong was amazing with it and it's just not the same playing it without the SGB improvements.

The wiki mentions upping the USB polling rate, and that it usually doesn't cause any side effects, but doesn't list what those would be. Are we talking increased wear and tear on the controller/receiver? Or something like dropped inputs?

I wrote this on twitter with links to all the bits and pieces I use (most come from Nat's store): https://twitter.com/evilryu_sp/status/1262409791319785474 Basically I would go for: De10-nano, a cheap rpi fan and otg hub, an empty digital io board to mount the fan, and a heatsink. (optional) BT and Wifi modules for convenience. And I would save for...
