Re: Is it possible to play physical zx spectrum next games?

Yeah, Spectrum Next games are basically just SD cards so all you do is copy the data over to your MiSTer.

Re: ZX Spectrum reproduction model, The Spectrum, to be released soon

I don't think you'll be able to fit a MiSTer inside a Spectrum case, but if you want to give it a try and even avoid the new emulator, we have new cases at UltimateMiSTer.com that are compatible with the original ZX Spectrum and ZX Next, including new dedicated FPGA boards. Apart from the Next, are there any dedicated FPGA boards with HDMI video o...

Re: Some Spectrum games load fine in 48K mode but not 128k mode

You might have dodgy versions of those ga Es. Match Day 2 was definitely 128k compatible as I had it on my grey +2 and it even has AY sound. I doubt it, I tried most versions from Lady Eklipse's TOSEC set, and one especially marked 128k. If DIVMMC is baked in, then that'll explain it. Bit odd choice though - should have a toggle. If I were you I’d...

Well I’ve figured out my previous problem (the start button was calling up the MiSTer menu) but now up & down have stopped working on the analog stick.

Guys, I’ve got a fairly cheap N64 USB controller which works fine apart from the Start button which despite defining in the core, it brings up the MiSTer menu each time I press it as if I’m pressing F12 on my keyboard. Any ideas on how to fix this? Some controller have operation mode. You might select x-input mode Do you have the manual? I don’t t...

I was using the Top 300 VHD games before and I think that’s what’s stopping this from working. I’ve not used this core in ages though.

@Swainy What was wrong with it? Sounds fine to me (and certainly easy enough to check for yourself!)

Just checked it again, I’m not getting music ingame. That’s with the latest build.

Have you tried deleting the N64.cfg? It has fixed issues for other people.

I’ll give it a try tonight 👍

Only as backorder. Can be years before release. Do not need a physical copy, digital download prefered.

Try contacting the author. It’s in his interest to sell the game digitally, I’m sure that if you ask him he can arrange something: https://d-logames.es/contact/

Re: Spectrum Next Games?

That’s wonderful! As you have a KS1 Next - what’s your opinion on the MiSTer Next core? Is it equal to the Next or are there differences? It was spot on but since recent core updates on the real hardware, some newer games are not compatible with the current build on MiSTer which is a shame. I was mainly using the Spectrum Next core to record video...

This would be great! Where did you read this?

On the Spectrum Next Facebook group. I own a KS1 Next and I know the guy who is doing the graphics for the game. Trust me, it will be available for both versions.

First and foremost, verify you have the latest firmware for the controller and download the config tool (TS-RJConfigura...

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m really not sure why I can’t get it to load. I ran Memtest last night for a few hours, no errors on my SDRAM. I’ve tried downloading multiple images of the game. Tried all the settings that you guys have recommended. I might have to download a new set of TOS images.

Yeah, I’ve tried various sources. Even tried a compilation version that had Warlocks Quest with it (that version got as far as the loading screen).

Works fine for me. At least i could load and play Level 1 a bit. I used this TOSEC disk image (st format)

Rolling Thunder (1986)(U.S. Gold)

TOS=1.02, 1MB RAM.

Strange. Still no joy for me. What chipset have you got it set to?

Rolling Thunder - Can’t get the disk version to load

I know that the ST version of Rolling Thunder is a bit crap (it’s a Tiertex conversion after all ) but I’d like to play it again for a bit of research. Anyway, it’s not on my hard drive image and the disk version bombs out. Has anyone else managed to get this to load? Cheers.

I think that the problem might be something to do with the KS2 models use a different FPGA board compared to the KS1 models and the Next firmware now detects what FPGA is being used.

I couldn’t get Roadblasters to take input for the pedal. It doesn’t give me the option to enter an input for them.

I think that Start & Fire are labelled back to front.
