Re: SNES Save State Test core

Works really well on most games, I did find that mortal Kombat 2 will not work with save states , saving or restoring doesn’t seem to work. Others have said games with special chips may not work but I was not aware of MK2 being a special chip game.
All others I have tested so far work fine it seems .

Great work!

Re: 2Player Arcade games - Controls question

Yes, it is exactly as you say, two identical encoders, all wired the same so they are identical. So yes, when I start the core and bring up the menu, the encoder I used to start the core is automatically P1. I think in the INI I can hard code the encoders, but that doesnt bother me, in fact I prefer to have whatever controller I grab be P1. I am ge...

2Player Arcade games - Controls question

Hey guys, Most 2 player arcade games (that have thier own joystick\buttons) work fine. Not all though. Some games like Air Duel, Street Smart (and probably others) want you to bind P2s Start\Coin when defining the buttons for the game. In my setup, P1\P2 are each connected to thier own encoder. So I cannot bind P2 start or coin to the same buttons ...

Re: Multi Disc CHD

PSX comes to mind as a console with games spanning multi disc. Single CHD games in a folder of the same name of the CHD simply launch , folders that have muliple CHD in them,will load when you mount them without reset. So games in folders is best for CHD in the PSX core at least. IMO.

Re: Black & White Menu Core on Composite with CRT

Your Mister.ini is really dated, with the YC encoders you need to set the videomode, see this INI.

https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_Mi ... MiSTer.ini

Taken from Mister addons.
https://misteraddons.com/products/yc-ac ... oder-board

MiSTer.ini settings:
vga_mode=svideo (never use cvbs setting)
ntsc_mode=0
composite_sync=1

Re: Problem with NFC

Hmm it looks ok, remember just in case, Linux is very case sensitive, so make sure its correct down to the extention.
Also maybe try this one, to test there isnt anything else wrong.
**random:snes

If that works it may be an issue with the file name , or maybe it doesnt like the + in the file name.

Please share the details of your custom cable. Please upload your mister ini Please confirm you are using an analog io board or some other adapters between the mister and the crt Also, systems like PlayStation do switch resolutions all the time. Too many other varibles to determine with the little info provided. How is it connected to the CRT? Scart, Svideo, Composite? Are you using an analog Io board? Are you using an active or passive YC encoder board? Are you using some HDMI to RCA? What settings do you have enabled in your Mister.ini? Is it only the sega core that does this? This sound...

I use this with a ps5 controller, it has the least input lag of any xbox or 8bitdo controller I have.

Also, if you didnt get a 128 ram module you will need it for some cores.

Re: Arcade Coin Acceptor via Daemonbite?

It looks like that one has more going on with it. I didn’t see a schematic , I’m sure it could work still but you would need to figure out what wires are used for the open and close of the button, then the other wires may want something aside from voltage. I’m not sure. I use this one, but Suzo happ makes all kinds of styles. https://na.suzohapp.co...

Your INI is old, some settings you have enabled are retired. [MiSTer] key_menu_as_rgui=0 ; set to 1 to make the MENU key map to RGUI in Minimig (e.g. for Right Amiga) forced_scandoubler=0 ; set to 1 to run scandoubler on VGA output always (depends on core). ;ypbpr=0 ; set to 1 for YPbPr on VGA output. Re: Battle Bakraid Special Version - Coin and Start buttons swapped

I suppose when you bind your keys for the game, when it prompts for coin press start and when it prompts for start press select and if it’s reversed it will work as you expect it.
Most arcade cores have bindings all over the board.

I think there is a jack for like ADC data in (something commodore tape players used) on some mister builds, it looks like a headphone jack but isnt.

Not saying this is your issue, but Im not familiar with your setup. There are many variations.

I believe in thecode before you upload it to the ardruino board, you are able to specify a controller id. As long as they dont share the same id it should work ok. I have a couple TimsVille 3 port adapters I programmed and used 8bitdos 2.4 ghz adapter ok.

Re: DB9 SNAC Adapters on the MiSTer Multisystem?

Your probably best to reach out to RMCRetro via thier discord, this is thier product. Yes its a HAT like many others, and like many others, outside facing USB are exposed to simply hang there, but with SNAC you have an adapter plugged into an adapter and that makes it fairly fragile. Re: Possible to block >15khz signals over VGA?

I thought this is why we have the scandoubler, to make the 15kzh signals 31 (I think it bumps the resolution too to do it, likes doubles lines) but it sounds like what you want. Im just getting into analog out stuff, so I may be off base.
