Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
I managed to get rumble and analog controls working with a DS4 as well.
Using the clickable touch pad on the DS4 controller to switch between digital and analog controls is a lot easier. Using L3+R3+up/down works too but only if you don't press the direction keys too long.
A big thank you to the PSX core developers. This is truly awesome!

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Alright. Just ran the same tests on PSX_unstable_20220503_16cd40.rbf with a Dualshock 4 controller connected via USB. Using vibration test function in the Options of Metal Gear Solid, these are my experiences: 1. Rumble works when input 1 is set to "Dualshock" in OSD (digital controls). 2. Rumble does not work when input 1 is set to "...

I've tested PSX_unstable_20220429_14b864.rbf with a Dualshock 4 controller connected via USB. Metal Gear Solid has a handy vibration test function in the Options and these are my experiences: 1. Rumble works when input 1 is set to "Dualshock" in OSD (digital controls). 2. Rumble does not work when input 1 is set to "DS Forced Analog&...

Re: Missing graphics in some games
I tried the X68000 core some time ago and experienced graphical glitches in many games. In some cases -- I think it was Salamander -- there was no hit detection for example. But also lots of missing graphics indeed. It became obvious to me that the core still needs quite some work. (Although it's very nice to be able to tinker around with such an o...

Re: Trouble with USB Hub v2.1 in MiSTer case
so you're still using a USB Hub with USB Powerin? If there is 14mm space it shouldn't cause any shortage problems right? I got a replacement USB hub that’s exactly similar to the one in my pictures above. It works fine for me now. ok what spacer do you use in between upwards to the DE10 Nano board? As I said a 14mm would be a safe distance but Som...

[Update after several months] Rick sent me a replacement USB Hub indeed and that one seems to work fine. Still no idea what the cause of the issue was. so you're still using a USB Hub with USB Powerin? If there is 14mm space it shouldn't cause any shortage problems right? Re: USB hub power supply
With normal use you're good, as long as you don't plug that 6A PSU on the same power line with your PC (or your A/C, or your vac, or your power tools) etc. Why exactly? Perhaps I'm mistaken but I always thought that 5V 6A equals 30W. That is less power than the average old-fashioned light bulb. Not sure. 30w might be 6A at 5V but if you'...

Re: USB Hub - poor USB connectivity
The problems you describe sound pretty similar to the issue I am currently facing . Yes, the symptoms do sound very similar but, because I'm using the power splitter, it shouldn't be the same root cause. However, I'll open 'er up and have a look. Thanks for the tip! Things is I'm not sure whether it's a problem with power on my setup. Just a first...

Thanks for the reply!
Are you 100% postive that the part touching the USB connector should not do so?
I don't want to remove something essential.
I don't know much about micro electronics but should power not always have both + and - poles?
The fork is only one pole I guess.

Trouble with USB Hub v2.1 in MiSTer case
Hi everyone! First time poster here. I've been reading this forum with interest for some time and now I could use some help. Back in March I got myself a MiSTer kit including I/O Board, 128 MB SDRAM, RTC, USB Hub v2.1, 5VDC 4A adapter and a Stormtrooper case. I am not into soldering and electronics but from all the stories online I understood that ...
