Re: MiSTer Favorites - Menu Shortcuts for Your Cores and Games
Wizzo - Just wanted to follow up on my earlier post. I ended up just swapping to to a different set of neo geo roms and it worked with out issue. I used a set with .neo extensions vs the set that requires xml files and are in their own folders. Thanks for this script. Nice work.

Re: MiSTer Favorites - Menu Shortcuts for Your Cores and Games
Thank you for this. I'm setting this up today and it works with arcade games and some console games I've tried including PSX. It's easy-awesome.
I am not able to properly load Neo Geo using an unzipped Darksoft set. This has files like Crom0, prom, etc in the game subfolders. Is this format not supported and/or are there some extra steps?

Re: xbox 360 controller- mapping for menu button not working
Tried it. I think I may have similar behavior.
When I mapped the buttons at first I could not map that center button or start/select as a 2 button combo. I tried again this time skipping tilt/mouse etc and only mapping dpad. I was able to map a menu key after that. Hope this helps.

Re: xbox 360 controller- mapping for menu button not working
USB devices can be finicky with the power supply that comes with the DE10. Could be that. For example I had a wifi dongle that would work and then wouldn't. Works without issue with a new power supply now. I have a 360 wireless dongle and controller. I'll try later this afternoon.

Re: Feature request: Children Friendly/Kiosk/Party-Mode Menu
Another vote for Kiosk mode. There was some changes made by Sorg recently. Are we able to create/run a script that would help with some of this?

Re: New MiSTer Owner Help Setting Up
If you ran the Update_all script you would not have the questions you are posing. So something is not adding up. You are making this harder then it really is. If you have manually added anything i would start over to not muck up the update_all script.

Re: Ipac setup help
You can switch the input mode on the newer IPACs. I was using IPAC keyboard setting for MAME then I moved to MiSTer and I switched to "X-input" mode via firmware and that was easier. This is not addressing your specific issue so sorry about that but sounds like keyboard input issues. I ultimately ended up replacing the IPACs with Arduinos...

This is awesome news. I tried posting this on r/shmups and got banned. Mod said it was "emulation" .

Do you have some pictures of your wiring? I can post some pictures later. I ripped out my Ipac encoders and replaced them with DaemonBite arduinos too.
Can you confirm step #5? Arduino IDE should give you a verification. Are you using the right COM port?

Re: Joystick mapping reversed
While not addressing your overall question I would recommend reprogramming the arduino. I had a similar issue as your step #5 and had to change the debounce settings as described: CODE: SELECT ALL #define DEBOUNCE 1 // 1=Diddly-squat-Delay-Debouncing™ activated, 0=Debounce deactivated See the thread: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=...

If you use HDMI it may be worth trying to disable CEC pin due to voltage causing weirdness. Or try analog output. Just troubleshooting ideas.

I have a Rec Room Masters Xtension 4 player controller. This device outputs the arcade controller inputs as keyboard keys. This 4 player controller registers as 2 keyboards and players 1 and player 2 are 2 different keyboards with their own hardware ID. Player 1 and 3 are keyboard A and player 2 and 4 are keyboard B. I can only partially configure...

Nice idea. I like the Genesis cable compatibility and I see this being useful for older CRTS and cleaner setups.
Does this offer any advantages when using component vs just a vga to component cable I use now with an IO Board?

Re: Any "DeamonBite KTRL Arcade Mini" users that can help?
I recently replaced my Mini-PAC with the Arduino Micro board. I was having trouble mapping menu keys due to sensitivity - multiple key presses. I did the debounce change above and it fixed my issue. Thank you!

Re: Arcade Controller
Just an update to setting up my arcade sticks. I was able to update the firmware on my ipac2 and mini-pac to use Dinput/Xinput. These are in the Rec Room Masters Xtension 4 player board. I did not realize this is possible until researching more. Also I haven't bothered setting up players 3 and 4 but I will later, need some 4 player arcade games.

What GBA Bios are you using? I had a similar issue until I used a proper bios. Noticed it with Minnish Cap.
Also that is a valuable tip regarding the sync. This solved another issue I was having earlier.
