I figured it out..
It's blatantly obvious once I realized the usb0 ZIP contains a separate update _all.sh file.
Just extract the zip file to your script folder and over write the previous update _all.sh file and your good to go.

update_all "usb0 ZIP" How to use? [Solved]
On the update _all GitHub under alternative setups it gives you the "usb0 ZIP" for people using USB as primary storage.
Where do I unzip this file to, so that it installs the cores,ROMs etc. to my external SSD?
