Re: Front end swap?
It was already discussed even on this forum and the amount of work to expose a simple interface to control mister cores from another app/frontend isn't that much. The problem is that sorge doesn't want to add or even accept a pr for this for his reasons and so a new unofficial fork should be made and this is enough to discourage even those who woul...

Re: Help with ppp connection on amiga os 3.9
I just realized that connecting using genesis/amitcp isn't much more difficult than miamidx. Simply select a generic serial modem and set correct baud settings then add an interface, under slip select ppp and in the connection script put "parse ip" and "go online". In resolving tab add a dns address and save then you can success...

Re: MiSTer MidiLink
I've decided to wait for official update and seen today's changelog I updated with the official script. After that I opened minimig but every time I tried to enable modem uart option it instead selected "None". Then I manually updated using bbond007 method above and then all started working fine. Maybe the official updater updated only ma...

Re: Refresh min/max
Would be a nice addition the possibility to have refresh_min/max separated for ntsc and pal. For example my samsung tv via hdmi seems to accept 49 to 51hz (included) when in pal 50p mode and 59 to 61hz in ntsc 60p mode. This means that both 51hz and 59hz are supported but 55hz is not. It would be handy to have vsync_adjust only in the 49-51hz and 5...

It's like that despite the update script went fine, I still have the old menus. Maybe it's a problem with the update pack as seems happened with othe...

Re: Limit scandoubler to 15kHz modes?
As the RTG uses the scaler to draw the images, try removing scandoubler option, set a compatible screenmode for your monitor with the same resolution rtg will use and also set vga_scaler = 1

Help with ppp connection on amiga os 3.9
Hi, I can successfully connect to internet using amiga os 3.1 and miamidx. I'm trying to achieve the same on os 3.9 and bundled genesis tcp/ip stack but I can't get a working configuration. I think that the problem is that I don't understand how to setup a null-modem connection. Can you please help me with this? Thanks

Re: CRAM color palette dots option
This is a very appreciated option. I don't have a mega drive anymore for comparison but I think that mister displays more dots than the mega drive, isn't it? For example in sonic 3 with cram dots enabled I see dots in the right area of the water in the first stage. Wasn't sonic 3 only displaying cram dots in overscan area in mid frame palette chang...

Re: Networking post RTG release
Strange, I'm on 3.1.4 with RTG and my network with Miamidx works well. My problem is that it seems that using remote->tcp setting my terminal programs don't work anymore, I always get no response from modem. If I use uart setting I'm able to get a Linux shell. Could you please check if remote->tcp works for you in terminal softwares?

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
Yep, AFAIK, the 68000 implementation is cycle accurate contrary to the 68020 one. @ZigZag : you're right, one has to always double check with a real Amiga or emulated one with the proper settings (same configuration as the MiSTer one) to make sure the crash / bug is due to the Minimig core and not due to the game / whdload slave itself. As stated ...

Re: Anyone tried the 'xow' Linux driver for the Xbox One Wireless Dongle on MiSTer?
Hi there, Regarding the 8bitdo Bluetooth adapter, do you mean this one? https://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/ If so, it looks like since v1.13 it works with the Xbox One Controller. Although, unfortunately I would need two dongles for my two controllers, as the adapter only supports one controller at a time. Might be a cost effective option...

Re: Anyone tried the 'xow' Linux driver for the Xbox One Wireless Dongle on MiSTer?
Unless it's not already in mister you could do it but not as straightforward, I think. The linux on mister doesn't contain developers tools or compilators so you can't compile the driver on mister itself, but you'll have to use the toolchain on a pc to cross compile the driver and then embed it in mister rootfs. You'll have to include it in on ever...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
I haven't looked into how the ARM <-> FPGA communication is implemented in MiSTer, so I can only speculate what might the problem be. Linux in general does offer many options to tune CPU and IO usage, so that is something that could be looked at. Moving the CPU to ARM, which handles reading the SD card, could actually prove beneficial, as there wo...

Re: Support for large Neo Geo ROM hacks?
From the fact that large homebrew rom like bad apple demo works fine, I think that the problem isn't in large rom support but in the hack and/or core inaccuracy somewhere. Have anyone tried these hacks using the neosd or darksoft on original hardware?

Joystick issues on latest version
Hi, after updating ao486 yesterday, the joystick started act strangely in doom. I use a retro-bit saturn 2.4G controller connected via USB and osd set in 4 buttons joystick mode. The problem is that even when not pushing any button the skull cursor goes up or the player moves forward. With the previous version there weren't problems. Tried restarti...
