Re: Patched Light Gun Games Randomly Pausing
I’ve resolved this by using the short usb cable that was included with the snax adapter in place of a longer one I had been using.

Patched Light Gun Games Randomly Pausing
I recently bought a snax adapter (from misteraddons) so I could use light guns with the PSX core. My Guncon works great with the Time Crisis games but when I try to use it with the gun on patched games like Die Hard Trilogy and Lethal Enforcers, the games randomly pause. They seem to truly pause randomly at different spots during different play thr...

Re: Console Text Became Garbled
What's odd is I've been using that TV in my screenshot since I first built my MiSTer and I never had this odd issue with text in the terminal until sometime this year. It also seems to only be an issue with terminal text, as all the cores seem fine. I know at some point we got all the updated shaders etc and I think this started around that time.

Re: Console Text Became Garbled
Ok so it looks ok on a 4K screen, but testing with another 1080p TV the garbled text is back. On the resolution portion of the OSD it says-
529x240 15.68khz 59.8Hz
1920x1080 148.50MHz 60.0 Hz
I’m guessing the top number is my analog output and the bottom is the digital output?

Re: Console Text Became Garbled
It must be the TV that is being a PITA, because when I hook it up to my living room TV the text looks fine.

Re: Console Text Became Garbled
This display is just an average run of the mill LCD TV which is capable of 1080p, I just tried 720p, same result, 1080p, same result, AND my TV is still in 720p. 99% of the time I use the VGA port with a CRT, I only pull out this TV to run the update_all script, since I cannot get it to play nice with a CRT, but that's a whole other conversation.

Re: Console Text Became Garbled
I downloaded a default ini file and still get this text, so perhaps there is a setting elsewhere that I need to check?

Console Text Became Garbled
So last year I built a system with a USB board as well as an analog I/O board to connect to my CRTs, and all has been well until I believe some time this year, and now when I run scripts while connected to a LCD TV via hdmi, all the text in the console is blurry and or garbled looking, whereas it used to be really crisp. Not a huge deal but it does...

Re: Toaplan System 2 Board
Finally got this working on a PVM, but I agree this limited screen flip is annoying as every other core I've managed to get rotated in the same direction.

Re: Guwange insert coin doesn’t register
Does this core, or Battle Garegga for that matter, run at some odd resolution? I've tried to play them via analog VGA out to my CRTs and neither of them can display an image, but I do get sound. On a LCD they seem to load fine.

Re: Toaplan System 2 Board
I just ran the update script last night and Battle Garegga doesn't seem to display a picture. I have my mister hooked up to a JVC CRT via RGB into a component converter. When I launch the core my display basically goes into standby mode and after a minute or so I can hear music playing, so It seems like it's running just getting no picture. All oth...

Re: OSD Rotate issues
Ok I figured it out. I needed to enable csync on the alternate ini. Working now. Sorry for the post!

OSD Rotate issues
New to the MiSTer and I've got it figured out for the most part but I'm having issues with rotating the OSD on my CRTs. I have the analog I/O board and I'm running a VGA to SCART cable which then connects to either a RGB to Component converter which goes to a JVC consumer set or connects straight to RGB connections on a PVM. I keep the PVM rotated ...
