Re: Analogue 3D is available to preorder

So 200 quid, and you can play N64 games with a high compatibility, I say high, because chuck a scene demo at it, and it'll fall over, and if anything doesn't work, there's nothing nobody can do as it's closed source (I think). N64 off ebay 30 quid, + ED64 for 50 quid, totally 100% compatibility I'd be interested if it gets jailbreaked, and other c...

Re: Recommended Joysticks for Different Cores

These are the controllers I use and recommend for the best and most authentic experience after trying a bunch of alternatives: For Sega cores, the Retro-Bit officially licensed Sega Saturn / Mega Drive / Genesis pad is my go-to. I also have the 8Bitdo M30, which is great, but the Retro-Bit feels more like the original ’90s ones. For SNES, I use the...

Re: Output to a LCD TV and a CRT TV/monitor through direct video without having to disconnect cables

normally if your Mister have a dual RAM build and is connected to a LCD TV, if you wanted to play on a CRT TV you'd have to unplug the HDMI cable from the Mister, then connect a HDMI-VGA adapter to the HDMI port of the Mister and a VGA-component cable to the adapter and to the TV. Is this only for dual RAM setups? I’m using a single RAM build and ...

Re: Nintendo Style Controllers

I highly recommend 8Bitdo Wireless adapter instead on ANY generic bluetooth USB adapter. I've had dozens of USB bluetooth dongles, the 8Bitdo is just very different and provides much more reliable connection, has a button to easily sync and no messing system setting is needed.it's just better. Interesting. The downside is it is one per controller, ...

Re: Nintendo Style Controllers

Thanks for the replies, I was aware of the wired latency issue with the Nintendo NSO N64 controller. I just really like the fact it's the original shape. I think I might go for the Brawler 64 NSO bluetooth version. @thorr Does the Brawler bluetooth version come with everything I need to connect it up with the MiSTer? I've seen some reviews on YouT...

Re: Nintendo Style Controllers

The official Nintendo 64 wireless controller (Switch Online) paired with the 8Bitdo wireless adapter is the best option. The 8Bitdo wireless adapter is extremely important since it provides a far superior connection compared to any generic Bluetooth adapter. using it on CRT ,I notice no latency at all. Other than that, the Retrobit Tribute 64 is al...

Re: N64 Core

I’ve been using emulators since early 2000s,but since 2019 when I bought the Mister ,In 90% of cases, I no longer use emulators because Mister, connected to a CRT and using matching controllers for each core, offers a superior experience, nearly identical to original hardware. That's the whole point of Mister FPGA. However, the N64 core doesn’t com...

Re: N64 Core

in the end,N64 wasn't 100% complete / possible on Mister hardware. so they were not wrong calling it "impossible" ;) No counting regional variants but counting the games that can be played on the the Turbo core, only 8 games or 2.06% of N64 games can't be played on the MiSTer. Out of those 8, 3 of them could be placed on the "Who gi...

It's even more, he also made the Lynx and the Wonderswan core, so he has 5 cores under his belt and I would say at least 50% of the 486 core should also be contributed to him :) I said 3 powerful cores, not 3 cores. I see a couple different 8bitdo adapters, brown or black, some with a "2" on them. Is there a particular one to chose?

they're not that much different as far as I know.

Re: 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Pairing Failed

I highly recommend using 8Bitdo wireless adapters instead of any generic bluetooth adapters.
not just for this controller but for any bluetooth controller.
they have a easy pair button and never lose connection.
so much easier and MUCH more user friendly.
I even use them with my PC now days.
they do more than generic bluetooth adapters..

Why aren’t these new updates added to update_all?
There have been a few updates during past few weeks..yet we're stuck with the old beta core with many issues.. :?
not everyone has the time to manually add cores and unstable versions of Mister, etc.

The core only works with dual ram modules or with one? I say this because they sell me a mister with sdram 2.9 and knowing it or not

Doesn't need dual RAM.
but the higher the SDRAM version the better compatibility.but it will run on lower versions of RAM.

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD Mega Drive Core

Outside of NeoGeo, none of the other cores are replicas of original hardware at a transistor level. They replicate functionality. Cycle accuracy, just like any other form of emulation, is dependent on the relative accuracy of the implementation. To me this is really disappointing and downgrades this kind of FPGA Cores to software emulation level. ...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Most issues are from users with incompatible sdram, as of now you really need a 128mb v2.9+ 2-chip to avoid issues, maybe that should be included in the core readme. Also very common is not having a bios or correct bios, which update all does not currently download for you. With this sorted, most games are playable, of my nearly 100 games library,...
