Re: ao486 Config for a Plain Old CRT TV
Great to hear. You can play around with the values a little. In my case, changing it to: video_mode=1440,140,160,190,240,3,10,6,27000 made it fit even better (centered) on my setup. The three values are Horizontal front porch (140), Sync (160) and back porch (190). which control the width and centering of the picture. Adjusting vertical sync is a ...

Re: Missing Sound Channels (Blue’s Journey, Others?)
I think Fatal Fury 3 also has issues. I'll try to pinpoint some of them. EDIT: I think it's more about volume balance here, the drums samples seem to be played quieter than they should. For example: the panned cymbal sounds in Blue Mary's stage track ("Kiss me") at around 1:45. Also, the piano keys which start to be played panned to the ...

Re: Missing Sound Channels (Blue’s Journey, Others?)
Hey folks. Thankfully the sample playback speed error of the Neo-Geo core has been fixed; however another annoyance continues: missing sound channels in games such as Blue's Journey. I remember there being others (mostly ADK games?), but it'll take a bit more listening to games to spot some. Unfortunately, there are no VGM rips of Blue's to aid in...

Re: Sega 32X Core
I’ve been trying to use the system link cable for multiplayer Doom Resurrection 2.1 but can’t get it to work using a real 32x and a Mister. I can confirm my setup works for Zero Tolerance in the Genesis core so I can skip over the troubleshooting I’ve done I think it would be nice if you added it as a comment in the existing issue on github. Thank...

Re: Sega 32X Core
Hi all, 32x core is working great! Tx for all the work. One evt. improvement: i am playing on a crt. Every time I start the core, screen is flickering. After loading a game everything runs fine. Also the menu when accessing via R2 when a game runs. The lighting of the Jaguar version still outshines the (very impressive) Resurrection 2.0 mod. On th...

Re: Sega 32X Core
Hi! I would like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Sergey (srg320) for this core. As I had said in the previous 32X thread, there are some really interesting games on the 32X despite its super short lifespan and small library. And, as others stated recently, the original 32X units can be a pain to work properly and especially when used for testing purp...

Re: 32X
32X was capable of doing 50,000 polygons per second. It should be noted that since the 32X was an add-on for the Genesis, the graphics hardware of the 32X was typically split between the 32-bit VDP (which provided the really fancy stuff. For example: the 3D polygon characters in Virtua Fighter 32X and other 3D elements on screen) and the 16-bit Ge...

Re: 32X
I don't think Saturn or 32x will ever happen on MiSTer. Both are too complex. I don't think it's as much a matter of complexity in terms of being impossible to do, it's just complex in many ways and this is a disincentive for a system that already has basically a bad tiny library with almost no reason to work hard to emulate it as a result. The Sa...
