Re: Recommended Joysticks for Different Cores

IS this one I could get? Id love this for arcade cores https://www.speedlink.com/en/COMPETITION-PRO-EXTRA-USB-Joystick-black-red/SL-650212-BKRD Avoid that one. I own both and the ArcadeR joystick beats it in every way. The speedlink is way too stiff, both on the stick and buttons. You'll get a handache very quickly. (this line sounds funny out of ...

Re: Bomberman not saving

Turns out it works again after doing a cold reboot back to main Mister menu.

Come to think of it I did have a similar issue with Magic Carpet a couple of weeks ago.

I think it might be due to switching games and just doing a reset on the Saturn core. Possibly a bug. I will have to do a reboot each time I change games in future.

Bomberman not saving

I have a previous .sav for bomberman made a month ago. But when I load the game it does not offer to load last savegame. When I try to save a new game and press Menu, I see "Saving...". I even manually select "Save Backup RAM". But the previous save file does not get updated. I tried deleting it and saving again but it doesn't c...

Re: Guide Setting up Remote MIDI Emulation (Midilink, Munt, Windows)

Is there an alternative to LoopMIDI?

Its always running in the background, despite choosing "Stop LoopMIDI" from the system tray icon. It prevents my PC from going to sleep, so had to uninstall it in the end.

Connecting a USB Midi controller

I have a keyboard controller which can transmit midi data over USB. If I want to use it to input musical notes on either Atari or Amiga cores, which port do I use? Just a regular USB port? Or the User Port?

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I’m getting a black screen when I start NiGHTS. USA version in CHD format.

Other games work great.

Anything I can try?

EDIT: nvm I just had to press some buttons at the black screen and it goes to title screen!

Re: EEPROM Support?

Nuked-MD MegaDrive core has support for EEPROM saves! Game changer. I haven't tried it yet though.

EDIT: I tried Micro Machines '96 and NBA Jam TE. Both work! Good times!

However NBA Jam wouldn't work until I did the "AutoStat™" feature fix lol - https://tcrf.net/Bugs:NBA_Jam_Tournamen ... _(Genesis)

Re: EEPROM Support?

Try BlastEm or Genesis Plus GX, I think even Kega Fusion supports EEPROM. The EEPROM carts were documented over a decade ago and implemented. Thanks. I remember using Kega back in the day. Did a quick test of MM'96 and saving custom tracks works! Hopefully support will come to MiSTer at some point. In the meantime, does anyone know whats involved ...

Does EEPROM saving work on emulators?

Maybe I'll give it a try. Whats the best Genesis emulator these days?

Would like to play NHLPA Hockey '93 and Micro Machines '96 with save support.

Theres still many games which haven't been SRAM patched yet. Would be great see those done one day, especially NBA Jam TE & NHLPA '93. I have no idea how easy it is to do though.

Re: Autofire on ArcadeR Joystick + 2600-Daptor D9

True classic joystick autofire will never work with a USB adapter because it depends on fluttering a +5V line that is provided by real computers and consoles of the era but not USB adapters. Missed your message earlier. That’s really good to know actually and explains why it’s a bit flakey. So in the end I mapped Joystick MENU button to Left+F2 an...

Re: Autofire on ArcadeR Joystick + 2600-Daptor D9

I never got the ArcadeR autofire to work well with the 2600-Daptor. I did find someone who made a custom ArcadeR PCB that itself output USB which I've been using instead. It turned the two switches at the top into extra programmable buttons so you had 4 buttons to program Mister with and can just use Mister's built-in autofire via home button. I d...

Re: Autofire on ArcadeR Joystick + 2600-Daptor D9

Just got an ArcadeR as well.

I tried turning up the auto fire adjuster a bit but the rate is still not fast enough for me. Anyone else have this problem? It feels like it’s at max. I don’t want to over turn it in case of damage.

Re: Recommended "Silent" Joystick?

The ArcadeR isn’t *too* loud (and comes in a USB version too, for ease of use with the MiSTer), but they aren’t the greatest at shipping, so might take a long time to get to you. Upside is that it uses standard arcade parts, so you might be able to find even quieter replacement parts for it. Where is a good place to purchase the USB version of the...

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄

I discovered I don’t have the problem with the NES core. I guess it depends on the native refresh rate. What video_mode and vsync_adjust are you using? I get the popup with NES also, and all other Console cores, haven't tested PC cores. MiSTer.ini: video_mode=13 vsync_adjust=0 These settings work fine, haven't messed much with other values once th...

If this refers to the blue/white popup shown by the display interface board (Realtek), I haven't found any way to disable, and I checked in Factory Settings (advanced) also. I get the popup once when loading a core or going back to main menu. Shows frequency and resolution. BTW I'm using a panel & interface from LaserBear which I believe is th...

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄

Hello When I set vsync_adjust 2 the screen flickers twice every time I load a core. And once again when loading a rom. Is this normal? Sorry if this is a newb question. The problem is that when this happens the screen displays the info HUD in the center showing resolution and refresh rate. Having this after loading a game and covering e.g the Sega ...
