Re: Flickerblend on the Neo Geo Core
I'm not sure it has been said but if you load the games using the UniBIOS, generally you can turn off this flicker effect in the games' soft-DIP settings. Generally the setting is called "FLASH" in the settings. You can select the UniBIOS, load your game, hold A+B+C on controller 1, and then go into the games settings and change this effe...

Re: Super Game Boy SNES core with MSU
Thank you so much for your efforts with this! Very excited to give this a go later today. I would hope that you would submit this to the MiSTer-devel so that this can be released for all. Again, thank you!!

Re: IPF Support
Really? I was under impression that SPS is a dormant group and haven't released anything for a long time. And other people are releasing .ipfs too, eg: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=107369 Dormant is correct, but according to their FAQ I linked, they state: I have imaged my disks using your tool. How do I make IPF files from them? It is no...

Re: IPF Support
This would be a huge value-add for me. I understand why this is on the backburner though, as really the IPF format is more or less closed, and not only that but the only "issuing entity" that is able to create the .IPF files are the SPS themselves. They create the images from Kryoflux images sent to them by users of valid disks. Furthermo...

Re: MiSTer IRC Channel :: irc.libera.chat @ ##MiSTerFPGA
I just wanted to bump the thread again and state that the channel has moved from Freenode over to LiberaChat for reasons outside of my control.
Hoping to see some new faces this time around! Lol

MiSTer IRC Channel :: irc.libera.chat @ ##MiSTerFPGA
Hello all. I thought it'd be quite fun to start a MiSTer FPGA related channel over on the Libera IRC network. The channel is ##MiSTerFPGA on irc.libera.chat It's also fun to connect to from your MiSTer itself -- from Linux, Minimig, or ao486 cores (and surely more!) :geek: :ugeek: I hope to see some faces in there soon! Who knows if someone will st...

Re: List of Cores with ADC (Tape Input) and RTC (Real Time Clock) Support
Just wanted to add that the NeoGeo core uses the RTC for the internal "Bookkeeping" feature so you can see when you played and how many credits you've put in!

Re: Bios Quick Load?
I agree that such functionality is very useful and should be implemented. For those of us who like to use known good clean dumps our of BIOS, I've noticed that the region protection is retained when playing games. I was unable to boot a Japanese copy of Sonic CD without loading a Japanese MegaCD BIOS first. It would be useful to be able to load a B...

Re: Neo Geo CD
Having a NeoGeo CD core would simply be bliss! I do hope that some brave soul steps up to the plate to knock it out for the MiSTer! With the recent new development of the libretro neocd core , there is now a lot more research done looking into the accuracy of NeoGeo CD hardware, specifically the CD controller. And while many in this thread mention ...

Re: Tandy 1000
The Tandy 1000 is a weird machine since it uses an 8088 8-bit CPU and has a proprietary video mode, sound chip, and EEPROM. Similarly, it is a PC compatible platform which means it is not 100% compatible with all DOS software. Tandy's ran DOS from ROM unless you had a hard drive (or later boot disk) in which Tandy specific versions of DOS would hav...
