It is the same on regular DE-10 Nano, it has been there for years and it is not a bug. Horizontal scanlines are generated by a vertical filter.

You're absolutely right - it turned out to be a problem of the capture card I was using, it was removing scanlines...
Using the MiSTer on a regular display worked fine.

Actually this may be happening on regular DE-10 hardware too... was there an update recently in MiSTer main?

QMTech MiSTer - rotated scanlines? [solved]

So I got myself a QMTech MiSTer after hearing good things about it. Mostly it's been working identically to a DE-10... except that video filters seem to be inverted! Does anybody else have the same problem? At first I suspected was my installation, but I swapped the SD card from one of my other MiSTers (that use a DE10 Nano), and got the same resul...

Can rclone work with some kind of remote ("cloud") storage? My main use case was to sync saves between my travel MiSTer and the ones I have in fixed setups at home.

do you have a link to the script/project?

This is one of them:
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Scripts ... _upload.sh

It actually depends on this project:
https://github.com/odeke-em/drive

The error mentions the new Linux Kernel does not support this feature... but there must be a way around it?

Upload saves to google drive?

There was a very useful script packaged with MiSTer that could sync your saves to Google drive,
but it broke in a Linux update quite a while ago.

Does anybody know what would be needed to fix it?

Re: Apple II Core

Thanks, I meant saturation adjustments, etc. Were those in MiSTer.ini or adjustments in the capture card? Those are all from the capture card settings, it's effectively part of the external display. Even on real hardware, each CRT is slightly different and you have to calibrate the "knobs" to match the colors on screen. Even so it's not ...

I have a few of these around... they are quite versatile for controllers, mice, chargers, etc.
If you look closely each shelf has a little clip to put the cable so it keeps them tidy (and prevents controllers from falling)

Re: Apple II Core

When you said you had to fiddle with the settings, do you mean the MiSTer.ini settings, or the capture card? Was it Black and White before you fiddled with the settings? Yes. I had a black and white image for all cores at first, until I updated my MiSTer.ini to a newer version. I was missing some entries, as described in this thread: https://miste...

The core works great in B&W mode with my Analogue IO + Composite adapter from UltimateMister :D This is taken from my X-Capture-1 card. I had to fiddle with the settings a bit (Hue: 0, Saturation & Sharpness:255, Brightness & Contract at 135) but it does look very nice THe capture card seems to have a strong adaptive comb filter since t...

Re: Apple II Core

The IIc monitor seems to be calibrated for input from the IIc's composite output. It looks great. Connecting something other than the IIc looks a little dull and has the wrong colors. That's very likely - each CRT monitor/TV is a little different. At least it seems like we can replicate closely those colors with standard equipment (other TV + MiST...

Re: Is the Atari Falcon 030 possible in MiSTer?

Given not even the official Motorola documentation gives accurate instruction timings for instructions on the '020 and above due to the myriad of states the logic could be in at any given time, there's never been any such things as a "cycle-accurate" 68020/030/040/060 simulation and there never will be. Fair. I think at this stage many p...

Re: Is the Atari Falcon 030 possible in MiSTer?

The 273000 transistors of the 68030 are no indicator that the core can't fit into the MiSTer. The design on FPGA may differ from the actual chip. What matters is whether it is accurate in timings for the outside world, which FPGA is better suited for compared to "CPU-based" emulation. It would still have to go through rigorous testing to...

Re: Apple II Core

Why are features that are possible in the Amiga core not possible in a Mac core? I'd say it's not about whether they are possible or not, but rather probably for it... The Minimig core has a long history (open sourced in 2007) and started with its own dedicated hardware. It is unlikely we will see that much dedication for a Mac core unless a very ...

Re: Apple II Core

it's almost like having a real Mac core in FPGA, except as you mentioned for having to run an Amiga first. I had some help with the setup (used a pre-existing image) and it basically boots directly into the emulated Mac. It feels exactly like using an LC or later color Mac. But the trouble I have with it is how to get files inside and out the emul...

The keyboard works fine out of the box.

What I haven't yet tried is the Super Buttons and the Super stick. You need to configure them in Windows and assign to a profile. Did anybody try yet with MiSTer?

Re: [Apple II/e] Disk Drive Sound causes continuous high-pitch audio

Do you mean you will be disabling the "noise" part by default, or the whole disk drive sound altogether? It depends. I want to be careful not to add too many options. That noise you refer to is the "disk spinning" sound; I can try to disable it separately but (to me) it adds a lot to the experience... without it the floppy soun...

Re: [Apple II/e] Disk Drive Sound causes continuous high-pitch audio

Hi there, I noticed that the high-pitch audio I was hearing with this core comes from having the DISK DRIVE SOUND option active. Maybe it should be reported in github as a bug? It's truly ear-piercing and I don't think real Apple II disk drive produced that awful sound :( it's more of a white noise than high pitch... But I suppose everybody has di...

It's still extremely subtle. Maybe I am missing something. It resembles something more like the electrical interference of a disk drive if you stuck an AM radio next to the Disk II cables... Can you provide the palette for the IIe that is built into the core? I would like to use that as a starting point.
