Re: Issues loading arcade games with MiSTer Batch Control

Maybe? I'm not sure how TapTo would make things easier for me. Buying a single barcode scanner is certainly more cost effective. With it there is no risk of losing NFC cards. The TapTo app looks great, but none of the people in my office will have it on their phone. Then again, I have never tried TapTo. If there's a feature I have overlooked, I wou...

Re: Issues loading arcade games with MiSTer Batch Control

I have found a workaround for this issue. If I run mbc from /root, Arcade games launch successfully. I'm not sure what explains this behavior, though. Running from any other location fails. I've updated my related GitHub issue: https://github.com/pocomane/MiSTer_Batch_Control/issues/36 Sound like a lot of effort; in the menu to select core, and loa...

Issues loading arcade games with MiSTer Batch Control

(I am running this on the Taki Udon MiSTer Pi, but I would be very surprised if this made a difference) I'm using the latest version of MiSTer Batch Control . It works fine to launch anything that is not an ARCADE game. However, I have no problem launching an arcade game from the MiSTer UI. I'm curious to know whether other people experience this i...

Don't forget about Time Pilot '84! ;)

Most importantly, thank you for being willing to sink some of your time in this project!

It allows you to launch cores and games from another device in your network (say an iPad or iPhone)

The issue what that is that it requires an Internet connection. But yes, good thinking to bring this up, at I think it should be relevant :)

Re: Is it possible to make a MiSTer frontend via a front end core?

👍

This is the first thread about "MiSTer front-end" that I can behind. :) I think this is clever. Is it an interesting/realistic engineering challenge to connect a core with the MiSTer filesystem?

I'll be monitoring this thread.

Re: My MiSTer / 80 & 90s Nostalgia Setup

Thanks for sharing! Interesting coincidence: I also made a little side project around barcodebattler. I wrote a script that builds a PDF from a CSV of games so that it can be printed and scanned using an equivalent of barcodebattler. My code is very messy and more a proof of concept than anything, but you can see the resulting pdf here: https://fel...

This is fantastic! Thank you for maintaining this chart, this will make it easier for a lot of people to figure out how to connect their de-10 to their display devices!

Re: A Holiday Season THANK YOU! to all MiSTer Developers

Indeed, thanks to all contributors! The MiSTer project has whacked me to share my passion for rétro gaming with those around me. It made me remember why I fell in love with rétro gaming in the first place. Cheers from Montreal, long live MiSTer!

Re: Tutorial for VGA Output? [Solved]

I have been having the same problem when I visited a friend who had a VGA monitor. I didn't have time to test it, but here is the response I got from Natrox in the MiSTter discord server (#help): > You could set a custom aspect ratio to compensate - although this will also affect HDMI. PGM and SH2... A dream for a shooter/Tetris fan! Good luck to any dev attempting this, and thanks for all the amazing cores over the years.
