Re: MiSTer Extensions - Remote

Thank you! Yes I totally agree, reading manuals would be a great use case for it. I like the idea of doing it for the currently running game for now, rather than doing it during indexing every game. I might be able to sneak this in early in that case!

Fantastic - thanks again!

Re: MiSTer Extensions - Remote

Great work on this Wizzo! I have another potential use case for this: open the manual for the currently running game via the Remote app. It only ever makes sense for the manual to be open on a second screen, so this seems like the perfect solution! I suppose the issue with this is where the PDFs for the manuals would come from. Perhaps https://www....

Re: JT Friday May 12

In this case deleting just jtkiwi_xxx.rbf would have been enough. What happened is that when you started the mra MISTer looks for the most recent core and a core with a DateStamp is considered more recent than a core without. You should check if you have other jt cores with a DateStamp in their name. If you have delete them. Very interesting, I wa...

Did you have a jtkiwi_xxx.rbf or only jtkiwi.rbf?

I'm pretty sure I had both files.

Re: JT Friday May 12

Only Aliens is beta, all others are public and load properly. Delete jtkiwi.rbf and any other jtkiwi_xxx.rbf if they exist. Delete all the mras: Arkanoid - Revenge of DOH (World).mra Dr. Toppel's Adventure (World).mra Extermination (World).mra Insector X (World).mra Kageki (World).mra The NewZealand Story (World, old version) (P0-041A PCB).mra Run...

Did you update your beta.zip? There was a new one this week.

I am not a patron so don't have one, but I thought it was a public release now?

Is New Zealand story loading ok for others? For me I get the beta software message.

Re: multiple 8bitdo 2.4GHz controllers with daemonbite - issues

Thanks all for the responses. I might try individual controllers on each adapter to try to narrow down the issue.

Re: multiple 8bitdo 2.4GHz controllers with daemonbite - issues

I always suspected the problem is power, is there enough power being delivered to the adapter to power two wireless adapters? Thanks - yes that did cross my mind, although I have now tested the 8bitdo receivers separately (i.e. on the original hardware) and they exhibit the same problem, so it seems the issue must be with the receivers themsemves.

Re: multiple 8bitdo 2.4GHz controllers with daemonbite - issues

What you are describing is wireless interference. A lot of stuff uses the 2.4 GHz band and the weakest of the bunch gets interruptions or disconnects. For example: my microwave Owen kills my 2.4 GHz wifi in the kitchen. True, although in this case the controllers are interfering with each others' frequencies, which you would have thought 8bitdo co...

Re: multiple 8bitdo 2.4GHz controllers with daemonbite - issues

Thanks for the response on this. I didn't make the adapters myself so I'm not sure about the IDs, but I would think they must be different, because using wired controllers on one adapter alleviates the issue. As a further test I set up my original SNES and mega drive side by side with the wireless receivers, powered both on and tried to use the con...

multiple 8bitdo 2.4GHz controllers with daemonbite - issues

Hi all, I have the following controller setup for my MiSTer Multiplayer daemonbite SNES to USB adapter 2 x SN30 2.4GHz controllers Multiplayer daemonbite DB9 to USB adapter 2 x M30 2.4GHz controllers I find that when either set of controllers are plugged in separately they work fine. However when both are connected and being used together I see iss...
