I'm definitely in for another!

Re: MiSTer Multisystem - All-in-One System

Just as a quick update we have more Multisystem SNAC cartridges for sale. The range is expanding and since the PSX SNAC they also support connection to a MiSTer Stack or alternative SNAC/USER port on other systems. They are not just for the Multisystem console. N64 - 4 port PCEngine 5 Port - with built in multitap 2 port SNES Saturn - still in pro...

Re: Help Finding Platform For Arcade Stick, Keyboard, Etc

in the as of yet still united states we call it a 'coffee table'

:)

i know i know its not ideal.

maybe an interesting mounting of a swinging monitor arm with a horizontal platform attached instead of a monitor?

or some sort of flip up/hinged table you sometimes see in schools?

Re: MiSTer Multisystem - All-in-One System

There's another Multisystem add-on that I'd definitely pay money for: a SATA-to-USB-9-pin bridge. Right now, you're probably thinking, "SATA-to-USB adapters are cheap and readily available. Why do you want us to make one?" Answer is, to reduce the number of connectors I have to bodge together and then hide inside the limited volume of th...

hm, do i -want- n64 rendered at 4k?

It’s not. It’s rendered at the native resolution (just like MiSTer), then they apply filters on top of that to simulate a CRT. Those filters are reportedly done in 4K.

Emulation is currently the way to go if you actually want things rendered in 4K with upgraded texture packs etc.

oh..... !!!
pass.

IRC died a natural death, the same way that old computers, BBSes, Bearshare, Compuserve, Norton Ghost, telephone boxes, windy handles for the windows in your car and cassette tapes have/did. I'm not disagreeing, mIRC was ace back in the day, i used to be on it every night chatting to like minded retro geeks, sharing ascii art, talking nonsense. Bu...

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄

Sad to hear them blocking entire countries from sale.

My advice, DIY. Aquire the driver controller and bid on ebay for broken ipads. best bet is to buy a 'lot' of a few.

the best ones are 'icloud locked' but sometimes the value are lots with shattered screens, a lot of the time the underlying LCD is perfectly fine!

Any tips for storing controllers? Wireless isn't an option because I use the Reflex Adapt. Right now I'm just winding each cord around each controller and stacking them on top of each other in a bin along with the adapters.

if you have some wall space (and ideally a 3d printer) the honeycomb wall stuff works well!

You misunderstand me. Mister discussion is great, Discord is not.

Simple question, I expect it would also be a simple answer...

Why choose Discord over IRC?

I'm biased from owning one, but I can highly recomnend the Mister Multisystem. Pretty plug and play. The board has everything you need with well designed I/O. 'Building' it is dead simple. Re: Converting an Arcade Spinner for Arcade1UP to PC/Mister

I couldn't find any existing Arduino projects to convert these clone 1up arcade spinners to USB - so I decided to try it myself. These are originally designed as replacements for 1up arcade machines. The rotary encoder used in these doesn't quite output like other encoders and confuses the encoder sampling code used in many other Arduino projects....

Makes sense. Especially for the stand, but for those who bought the carts, that would be a nice bonus, since without the pcb files theres not much one can do with the shell. Edit: oh yeah, i guess people could try to sell them. :( I would pay for the stl, sooner than I'd pay for shipping a finished one. I'd like to be able to choose the color and m...
