Re: Some Cores on MiSTER Pi Don't Work with My CRT

You won't get them working on your mister pi as those cores haven't been updated to the latest framework. Mister Pi uses ioboard 9.2, and uses 24 bit analog video, so needs core updates in order to work. You can wait for the cores to update, buy an older analog ioboard (18 bit video) or buy a new mister add-ons Analog pro ioboard that has a switch ...

Re: Retro-Bit Saturn 2.4G V2 gamepad L and R buttons

The manual says all modes doubles buttons. Z and C are always doubled with R1 L1. Which is how it works as of latest firmware.

Re: Retro-Bit Saturn 2.4G V2 gamepad L and R buttons

L&R doubles as C and Z buttons on the Saturn pro. So you cannot map them as regular L&R buttons or you will lose C and Z. You need to use ZL and ZR for that.

Re: Cant crouch or jump. Some inputs not working

What controllers do you use on mister? First thing I would do is setup the controllers in main menu first and then go to input tester and see is that is correct. Afterwards you can configure each core. But first double check main is correct using the input test core.

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

You can try using vsync_adjust=0. I remember it used to improve those cutscenes. One of my fav. game ist Die Hard Arcade. But this game changes the resolution every time when entering a new areal. On digital display thats a problem because that results in a black screen for a few seconds by switching resolution 2 times. Then you did not "see&q...

Re: DE25-Standard Terasic Inc Press release

Some more info from the user manual vs de10 nano: 138k LE vs 110k LE, 25% more. Dual a55 + dual a76 up from dual core A9, 1gb ddr4 1200mhz instead of ddr3 400mhz, 8.42 Mbits of embedded memory vs 5,570 Kbits. Seems to be a good upgrade, if a de25 nano arrives as a replacement for the de10 nano, we might have a Mister2 board candidate.

Re: 3 button Lightgun Mapping

All my lightguns have a dpad, so I never really noticed the problem you mentioned. Guess you will have to lose one button to map the unskippable dpad press. I am waiting for a openfire kit to arrive to mod a guncon but with a trigger and 2 buttons would end up with the same problem as you on mister. I did order that before the sinden gun got mister...

Yeah, I also had some games that wouldn't show video but could hear the audio working eg samurai showdown would show the intro then lose the image. The core is basically in a public beta state so I wouldn't worry too much.

Re: Neo Geo Pocket

The core will look in a NGP folder so I renamed the JTNGP folder. You are supposed to start the core, then power off using the virtual power button, only it is named coin in the buttons setting, took me a while to figure out. Then you select the game and press coin again to load. I suppose in the future it could all be automated when loading a core.

Retrorgb did a stream today with Andy Sinden testing the guns on Mister, highly recommended: https://www.youtube.com/live/1dMD4GNTi0w?si=7nbRB3pHKbetXkdg They ran into the issue you mention at 27:35, "pressing left on the dpad for 3-5 seconds" calibrates it. They also had an issue with the tapto extension interfering with the guns so had ...

Re: MiSTer FPGA Might Be the Best Piece of Hardware I've Ever Owned

I think miSTer ticks too many boxes for me. 1- Easy setup 2- Boots instantly 3- Display options: can use a crt tv, a crt monitor or a modern hdmi display, even simultaneously. 4- SNAC: Can use original controllers and Lightgun support 5- Can connect to Jamma cabinet 6- Lag is not an issue (input and display) 7- Has cores for most important consoles...

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future

I am very happy with the current console cores, but I would like more arcade cores. Namco System 12 (Tekken Tag Tournament, Soul Calibur) Sega Model 1 (Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing) Sega Model 2 (VF2, Sega Rally, Daytona USA) PGM (DDP DOJ, Ketsui, EspGaluda) I probably should have mentioned CPS3 but I never really got into Sf3. A real bummer they ...

Re: Store All My Original Hardware and Use Only MiSTer

I have already sold all my original consoles that have a Mister core. Nes, SNES, PS1, N64. Still own a Sega Saturn but is already up for sale as I no longer have a crt. So all my console retro gaming will be on mister + oled tv. It was nice to downsize to a single unit. I have no issues playing the current cores. The list of N64 games that do not w...

Hi, Mortal Kombat 1 Arcade was supposed to be released in october but nothing. I especially upgrade to dual ram and digital board for it.... What went wrong ? Keeping my hopes up. Most of the games on those platforms have a PS1 port so there is not really much incentive to do so. Tekken Tag Tournament though, that unbalanced gem is my top unavailable arcade game currently on Mister. Tops my list along with MK2 and KI.

what is BFI?

Black frame insertion, or oled motion pro on a LG OLED. setting it to high will improve motion clarity, enabling you to better see the crt filter during motion, but at the cost of latency. Only you can decide if it is worth it. As I mostly play shooters, I prefer low latency.

Re: Best video presets for a LG 55' C1 OLED?

I have tried many different presets and crt filters on my 48c1 but I have given up on a crt look. I now use interpolation medium on every core. My main gripe with crt shadowmasks and scan lines is that they disappear while scrolling. When paused they look incredible. Bfi helps a little but I do prefer the low latency. One example is Tate shooters l...
