Re: outputting midi from real STE to gbmidi and / or genmidi ?
For optimal timing, think you need a mister-specific active adapter for the 5-pin din to USB for the user port. (And then naturally a classic 5-pin midi cable.) There's a bunch of them out there, here's legacypixel's. https://www.legacypixels.com/mister/midi.html an actual answer on an expert forum ! nah seriously this looks really useful ...

Re: ITX Llama
As Thorr mentioned, there is a store: https://retrodreams.ca/ selling them now. Yass indeed i checked that right away and it told me Santa would be very cross if i spent more on retroware before christmas ... i was kinda hoping others would pick up, like what happened with Udon and Qmtech but i guess its a bit early for that ... i can handle with ...

outputting midi from real STE to gbmidi and / or genmidi ?
I just booted the cores this week, i had the wrong impression they were like trackers you could write saveable .mod or .sng or similar tunes with it but they look like synths that need midi input. Now i recently acquired an Atari STE again after so many years since the boy. So i was wondering if its possible or if anyone has any experience in how t...

Re: ITX Llama
I am already dreaming about my favorite 98 era 3D and 2D Windows games. I bought a Riva TNT2 in anticipation. It is said to have perfect DOS VESA support and it goes all the way to Windows XP which this box should also run as it meets the minimum requirements. Do keep us informed please, i doubt i'll be able to get one earlier than next year i wen...

I take no responsibility for anything i say or do, induced by circumstance, humans, dogs or otherwise infected triffids , but depending on your budget and quality of eyesight i bet an original curved crt will always be your best frend but if you're a poor bum on a small wallet like this one i got https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1713976/dell-se2722h...

Re: Classic Synth Cores?
Anyone ever look into doing something like this? Recreating synths like the Prophet-5, VCS3, CS-80, etc? Could be interesting having a few FPGA dev boards with 25 or 49 key USB midi keyboards hooked into them to create a similar experience to native hardware without having to spend the literal $1000s per unit that you normally would. aah, see, i k...

Re: Connecting a USB Midi controller
im gonna butt in here quick with maybe a bit offtopic but, would it be possible to connect the mister to a <i>real</i> atari st(e) via the midi ports to use the genmidi core as a synthesizer ? i been dreaming about a "synther fpga" box that holds all those synths from the 80s and 90s i could never afford with a few midi ports that can con...

Re: Need help, never used an Atari ST.
Thank you so much for all of this. This explains why I can't seem to find what I need. Last question, if the OS runs from ROM, does that get pulled in using update_all? you need a TOS image separately (i think its under hardware in the osd gimme 5 to check ...) okay you go to "modify config" after open OSD (press F12 or whatever you use,...

Re: Is this new Amiga game possible on Minimig Mister?
i need to totally edit this, i thought the sharp core had a 68030 but its a 68000 ... in short i was under the impression the "sharp x68" had a 68030 by default but that is more like the mk.2 version of the original machine (goes for about 5k on ebay) what i see in the sharp core is cpu turbo but no idea what that entails , so i guess the...

If you're sure its okay to link that thing here :? I checked it the zip folder in shared (using mega ags for all things Amiga since im not a hardcore amigian cultist) The game itself runs fine (and quite the masterpiece as far as i dare speak on amiga-tektek demos) clearly made by some who know their motorolas but i cant get the hiscore to save , t...

i read about the mouse thing on the Atari forum posts about the revamped Droid game too tho the technical aspect eludes me but i think they were talking about original machines. impossible to say over a distance but mine had a power button that started depressing after a while , after i tried several things and even bought a new psu (which was desperate b/c it worked before so theres no reason it would suddenly need more power for the same setup) turns out i had to clamp the button (since i dont have a soldering kit and i...

Re: AmigaVision 2024.06.06 Released with Sensible World of Soccer Fixes, Castlevania & Turrican Updates
i wish someone would do this for the Atari ST/e core .. (dont look at me, im too stupid to compile all that) That's not a real problem - see here for demo compilations I did. There are already some hdd images with tons of games, but w/o a menu to select one. And there are hundreds (if not thousands) of hdd-ready patched games. The big task here is...

Glad you got it working :) what he said ! however, i ran them both from the .d81 files on the c64 core using dolphindos and using load "*",8,1 and then "run" did work ... its hard to believe there's a difference between hardware on a mister unless you got some custom chips onthere so maybe removing and reinstalling the core wou...

Re: Ultima IV and V Remastered Issues
its a fact the computer cores on the mister are undercooked, however, since everyone gives patreon money for arcade cores No, it's definitely an opinion 8-) fine , i'll settle for "debatable" lol ... but agree :: i had quirks with msx several times, deleting the core-file from the sd card (ftp or whatever just remove it and slot it) and ...

XDF and HDM are the same format. You can convert them to D88 with the hdm2d88.py script in my signature. thx, theres a few converters i didnt have yet, i can confirm the dim2d88.py working https://pastebin.com/vx4ud7gs actually a thread with nothing but converters and tools to easily inject stuff into hard disk files per respective cores for linux...

Re: Has anyone tried a 1TB MicroSD card in their MiSter?
1TB are very overpriced - that way I could get 2x 512GB cheaper. I have 512GB and wondering if will be option to use IO Board's sd slot as additional storage, but I heard that it is not possible. yea 1 and 2 tb overhere too are still not equally priced for the gigs you get comparted to 512/256, personally i went back from a 512 card to a 128 (was ...
