Re: Floppy B Problem
Ok last post just wanted to say that copying entire disks and reading floppy A & B work well if the speed is set to PC/AT

Re: archive.org folder synchronization script [0mhz-dos]
To get it to work with a different archive I had to change this line in the script to allow curl to create directories.
Code: Select all
CURL_ARGS=(--create-dirs -RSLf#)

Re: Floppy B Problem
Setting the system speed to 7.16 fixed the problem - I was on 4.77 before.
But if you're pushing the drive really hard (i.e. copying the entire disk) it gives up being able to read/write to the floppy after a short time.
Restarting the emulation fixes this in a way...you can go back and copy the remaining files that it refused to copy before.

Re: archive.org folder synchronization script [0mhz-dos]
Sorry I'm having trouble with the REMOTE= option. I tried:
Code: Select all
/media/fat/Scripts/aorg-sync.sh --no-check-cert REMOTE=TGODFloppyCollection
And the script still downloaded everything from the 0mhz-dos link.

Re: Floppy B Problem
I got this to happen in MAME, too. If you have the FDC:0 set to 525dd and you set FDC:1 to [empty slot] it does exactly this.
So maybe there needs to be a way to select the type of floppy drive in the settings to force the B drive into being a separate device and not a clone of A.

Re: MiSTer PCXT
Does formatting floppies in MS-Dos work? I get an "invalid media or Track 0 bad error." This is with write-protect on or off. Even with WP on the disk becomes unreadable after the format command, which doesn't seem right?

Floppy B Problem
Using the PCXT it doesn't matter what I select as an .img for Floppy B the emulation behaves as if it's the identical disk as drive A.
core is PCXT_20230902.rbf

Re: MiSTer Video Options for HDMI / Component / S-Video / Composite / RGB / CRT / JAMMA etc - A Flowchart Diagram
Something that wasn't clear to me on the chart was that for SVIDEO from io board --> vga/component --> commodore monitor the green goes to yellow (luma) and red goes to red (chroma)
(SOG switch set to OVR not AUTO)

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video
My analog IO doesn't work with my monitor for some reason. No output at all.
Anyway, I found a setting in the INI file and adjusted it to this:
video_gain_offset=1,-0.02,1.3,0.04,1,-0.1
And HDMI limited=2.
That dialed-in the picture pretty well and both the Moread and Rankie look good.

Re: The State of DACs for the MiSTer and Direct Video
I just got a Moread today and the green channel is very faint - like SO low. Is that what it looks like if you got the bad chip?

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video
Ah, ok I figured it either it works or it doesn't. There is another thread where people had luck with this one.
I'll try the Moread one and see since it isn't on either list.

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video
I am using the same VGA adapter and mine is doing this (genesis core):
I don't think the hdmi_limited setting can fix that...
