Re: Ok let's talk seriously about a MiSTer handheld...
I think this is an awesome idea and I would love to see it come to life. I bet you could even get crowd funding for it. However, I think that 3.5 inch would be a great form factor for all of the handheld games, but thinking about the bigger picture I think that something like a 5.5 or 6 inch display would be much better for an all around portable M...

Re: Network Share Issues - cifs_mount.sh not mounting at Boot
I was able to get this issue resolved on the MiSTer Discord. Once I put the above settings into a separate ini file containing just those options named cifs_mount.ini that seemed to work and it now mounts the drive at boot. When I first tried using an ini file I copied and pasted the original cifs_mount.sh and just changed the options but left the ...

Network Share Issues - cifs_mount.sh not mounting at Boot
I have a fresh MiSTer install and I ran Update.sh so I'm assuming that I also have the most recent version of cifs_mount.sh in the scripts folder (version 2.0.1). When I run the script manually it mounts the drive just fine and I'm able to play games. The issue is that I can't seem to get it to run automatically at boot even though I thought I set ...

Re: Backup and Restore Using Win32 Disk Imager
Thanks guys. I can confirm that backup and restore with Win32 Disk Imager works perfectly. I think the external backup method and MiSTer Fusion seems promising as well. I came across some info on MiSTer fusion earlier today actually. I will have to look into it more. Is it officially part of the MiSTer repo?

Backup and Restore Using Win32 Disk Imager
I understand that for the initial install you need to use the Mister SD Card install utility. Once you have everything setup the way you want and you have added your roms, does anyone know if you are able to use Win32 Disk Imager to backup your image and restore it?

Connecting a Fan Without an IO Board
I have a 4 pin Noctua 40x10mm 5V fan that I purchased (they no longer had the 3 pin model in stock). What are the proper GPIO pins to connect this to the DE-10 Nano without an IO board? I have Dupont cables/jumpers if that helps. Update: It looks like you would connect it to GPIO_1[11] and GPIO_1[12] based on the attached diagram from the instructi...

Re: Multiple MiSTers on The Same Network
Probably you have to change the MAC address too if you use Ethernet. There’s a script for that. Regards. Locutus73 you can also place a text file in the Linux folder on your SD card called u-boot.txt Place the following line in the u-boot.txt (Use whatever Mac Address you like). ethaddr=02:03:04:05:06:01 Thanks for the reply Locutus73, I'm not sur...

Multiple MiSTers on The Same Network
Does anyone know how to change the MiSTer machine name to something else, like MiSTer-2 for example? The reason is I would like to pickup a second MiSTer and they would both be on the same network. I want to be able to access them both by name with the Windows Samba share.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Converting CDD/IMG Disk Images to CUE/BIN
The easiest thing to do would be to create an Archive.org account and search for the Turbografx CD Redump. Everything is good quality and ready to go already.
