Hi,
IIRC Jotego considered implementing a core for it a while back, but his Patreon supporters favored a CPS3 core instead (fair enough ). Has there been any traction behind a PGM core since, by Jotego or someone else?
Cheers,
IGS PGM?

I remember this, but it disappeared without a trace. I would rather have a PGM core over CPS3 any day.

I did vote for PGM, so my conscience is clear
But, back on topic... I believe that Jotego just started doing Tecmo games, with the very first one being Tehkan World Cup (Tehkan is the original name for Tecmo corporation). I assume that he will do the entire lineup of games - I am waiting for Ninja Gaiden/Shadow Warrior myself.
Not sure what will come after that.
Re: IGS PGM?
not to be discouraging as im very sure Jotego is busy with many projects, and doing amazing work, but we wont see PGM or CPS3 on the MiSTer for a long time. i think there was some discussion on his Discord channel about carrying on the work for the Cave 68k core too (which will probably start from scratch).
but at the pace were seeing Jotego work these days, i cant imagine how long that would take. it makes sense tho. we are at the end of the big cores for the MiSTer and are picking up the low hanging "viable" fruit. i cant imagine hes in a rush to complete all the cores everyone keeps asking about, and then be left with some niche arcade cores that very few people play. im not speaking purely from a business standpoint, but from a consumer and fan. if i were coding FPGA, i would not be striving to recreate every single arcade game in existence, starting from the beginning. i would focus on the cores that people would enjoy, have a fanbase, and ones that i have a sentimental attachment to. again, thats just my opinion, but i would imagine Jotego has a similar mindset.
perhaps someone else will pick up PGM or continue with Cave 68K, or tackle CPS3 in a months long coding blitz. but at this point, if you have a MiSTer, the cores on there are likely to be the cores we have for a good while. imo, the last big core was GroovyMiSTer, which singlehandedly bridged the gap between MAME/retroarch and MiSTer. probably one of the most useful cores we have.

Re: IGS PGM?
From what I understand many boards are evolution of the other which came before. So it makes sense to start with the very first one by a manufacturer and move forward. Jotego did this several times already. I assume he will be doing the same for Tecmo.
Re: IGS PGM?
Definitely! I hope it gets picked up again at some point, it feels like the one that would have the most upside, amongst the arcade hardware still not supported!

Re: IGS PGM?
I'd love to see an IGS PGM core... they have quite a few amazing games that rival Neo Geo.
Been hoping for some dev to pick this one up, but no luck so far.
Anyway, as I cannot do it myself, cannot complain... just keep hoping
