im new to FPGA programming and i bought a QMTech cyclone V board which is supposed to be a clone of DE10 nano. There are 4 dip switches and i programmed them to turn on the LEDs when they are switched but when i upload the code to this board and turn on a switch, the whole FPGA board gets reset. How can i fix this issue please help.

Please don't switch these switches when board is powered on. They are using shorting switches.
Please check the shorting and non-shorting switches in the attached image.
