Anyone had any lucky getting the core to work. All the boot.roms I have tried do not work

Thankfully, a working one is supplied at the core's github : https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Amstrad ... mstrad.rom

Just rename it to boot.rom and drop it in the CPC games folder.

Can the core run games from zip files? I didn't think any of the MiSTer cores could. Maybe I've just not read enough yet, but I'd try unzipping it & seeing if that works.

Core on MiSTer works with zip files but Amstrad does’nt like it

The Batman demo suffer from that when you read dsk from zip file

Could be a r/w protection thing. Some emulators won't write to zip files & if a program requires the disk to be write enabled it may cause problems. Same could be true of this core. I'm not sure why a demo would need to write to a disk though.

i didn't use zip with amstrad core (because of speed for fdc read)

i no this demo doesn't have write op (you can run this demo in emu with protect tab on)

I dont have numpad (only upper numbers keys on keyboard), so i´m still frozen on main menu, where you have to choose how many players, demo...

Understood, maybe is because is asking for F1. But then it should work from OSD menu, where you can select NUMPAD as numkeys or symbols, right?
