VGA to VGA or HDMI to DVI-I connection?
Hi guys,
Noob question here!
I have been thinking for the past few weeks to connect my MiSTer to a LCD screen which is gathering dust at the moment. As my screen comes with both a VGA and DVI-I port, could you please help me out to understand which the best between these two options?
1. Using a VGA cable from the MiSTer IO board directly to the VGA port of the screen
2. Using an HDMI to DVI-I cable from the MiSTer board to the VDI-I port of the screen
Thanks a lot in advance!

Re: VGA to VGA or HDMI to DVI-I connection?
Personally, I would go with HDMI to DVI as this uses purely digital signals.
I would only use VGA if the screen was CRT

@ Mr^O^BIG,
Many thanks to you as well! May I ask you how you are getting the audio? Via the IO board or a dedicated USB DAC?
Thanks!

I'm using VGA with my LCD TV. The displays input lag is significantly lower when using VGA compared to HDMI. Some LCD displays still post-process HDMI inputs even when you set them to "PC mode". Would recommend testing the VGA just for this purpose, you won't notice any loss in quality if you set up your mister.ini correctly.

@ Mr^O^BIG,
I see, so you are using the MiSTer IO board to output the audio signal. Thanks.

Hi,
Just to give you an update. I have anded up buying an HDMI to DVI Converter with Audio Extractor for Optical TOSLINK SPDIF and 3.5mm Jack Support. I am now opening a new thread to ask an advice on the correct video settings for a 4:3 1600x1200 screen.
