4:3 1600x1200 LCD screen videos settings

Unread post by Alkadian »

Hi,

I am planning to connect my Eizo 21" 4:3 1600x1200 screen to the DE-10 nano via a HDMI to DVI converter. Could you please help me out to set to correct video settings in the MiSTer .ini file? I understand that I have to set the following to:

dvi_mode=1

but I am not too sure how to specify the correct resolution of 1600x1200@60Hz. Would 800x600@60Hz work fine instead?

Many thanks in advance.

I have a 1600x1200 Samsung syncmaster 204B, and the following setting works for me:

video_mode=1600,64,192,304,1200,1,3,46,162000

@ klappschlauch,

Great, thanks for your feedback. Can you please confirm if you are using the DVI input as well?

Thanks!

Yes, it's connected via an HDMI to DVI cable.

I'm not using any converter, it is just a cable that has HDMI on one end, the other end has a DVI connector. HDMI is compatible to DVI (as long as you don't need audio or other special features). I never tested Audio with MiSTer, i just bought it out of curiosity, and implemented a hp 9000/370 workstation. On that one, audio isn't really important.

What’s the input lag like with the Eizo S2133. I’ve read that it’s 6ms GTG. Does that seem to be good enough for most cores? Thanks!

GTG (grey-to-grey) is a measure of pixel response time, not input lag. Its roughly translates into how much motion blur you're going to see, wheras input lag is the time between your computer sending out a frame and the monitor displaying it.
