Correct LED For DAC Audio
I keep ordering the wrong led light for the audio on the io board
Anyone know where I can source in Europe. mouser, rs-online, digi key etc.
My last attempt was this led https://www.mouser.ie/ProductDetail/Lum ... uRagy8aQ==
what should i be looking for. Luminous Intensity?
connected with 200 ohm resistor

Re: Correct LED For DAC Audio
Thanks for the advice guys. I might take you up on that offer Nat.
For anyone thats in the same boat I found this in the other thread
The TOSLink LED should be from memory 650nM wavelength which looking at your spec sheet is correct however the brightness should be 800mcd

Re: Correct LED For DAC Audio
800mcd seems way, way too bright.
The LED listed on the wiki (version 5.5 of the I/O board) is 6.6 mcd @ 20 mA.
The LED I currently use on 6.1 boards is 80 mcd @ 20 mA, and works wonderfully.
