8 Directional Dpad Support (Neo Geo Mini Pad USB C)

Got 2 Neo Geo mini pads with usb c for a nice price. But after trying to get them working in MiSTer I just cant get them working right.

The problem is the controller has not 4 but 8 directions and can't register the diagonal Input.

Do i mis something or is there no support for 8 directional dpads in MiSTer?

D-pads only use 4 buttons to input 8 directions, but regardless of that, don't those pads use analog sticks? What happens when you play a game and push the stick in a diagonal direction?

Yes it use a analog stick and with that is simulate 8 directions. Because of that if you push diagonal noting happens.

Sounds like a very strange dongle to make sure the pad won't work with any USB hardware known to man.
