I'm curious as to why the Double Dragon core is still an unofficial core when Jotego claims on the Github page that it's 100% accurate (most likely)? Shouldn't that be considered official now? There are other cores that have a few graphical bugs or kinks that are official, but why isn't the Double Dragon core official?
I'm just wondering why maybe the Trojan core for example isn't official yet? I understand that the CPS 1, CPS 1.5 and CPS II cores are still in active development, but previous cores like the aforementioned Jotego cores seem like they should be moved to official unless there's something else preventing them from being official that I'm not aware of.
Also, is Space Invaders ready to be an official core? I'm just curious because it's one of the very few Golden Age arcade games missing.
Sorry if I'm coming across as being ungrateful or blunt. That's not my intent at all. I'm just curious as to why some of these cores aren't official yet?
Why are some seemingly ready arcade cores still "unofficial"?

I know of the davewoo999 and Gehstock Space Invaders core.
I suppose it is up to the authors to allow their cores to become official.
Not sure which version I have of SI on my MiSTer but it seems to run ok for me but I am not a
Master Space Invaders player.
The cores come about due to interest by developers and a few came about from those learning FPGA programming.
Amazing how many cores MiSTer has!

Sometimes the cores need some extra level of polish to be ready to be integrated to MiSTer, and their authors haven't yet found the time to finish it up.
