PAL at 100 Hz?

Unread post by jlancaster86 »

I've been testing "vsync_adjust=2" on my new TV (a Samsung Q80T), and it seems like PAL games are a no-go (at least on the NES core). NTSC games seem to work OK, at least with my limited testing so far.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but would it be feasible for MiSTer to double the output frequency of PAL games to 100 Hz for "vsync_adjust=2", or would there be no benefit to that over "vsync_adjust=1"?

Why don't you leave it at the default "vsync_adjust=0" x1080p (=8 in the .ini) scaler? Lag? Do you perceive lag, or is it something you read on the forums that just nags you? Controller lag is way, way worst, believe me ;)

You just can't have 1:1 representation on a 4K tv, whatever you do.

On the other hand, 1:1 trouble free CRT gaming is riddled with setup problems (especially re: syncing), so enjoy what you have man!
