I have a real MT-32 and I ordered the Roland um-one for use with the Mister and AO486 core. I was wondering what is the best way to mix the audio of the two sources into the HDMI signal (if possible) for my display or to a single 1/8 inch stereo output (not as desirable but an acceptable alternative).
Thanks,
MT-32 and MiSTer Audio Output Mixing

Also using a real MT-32 and I'm mixing different audio sources with a simple audio mixer device. See pic for an example.

I use this, and it works perfect after you change out the resistors (read the reviews). It requires no power and is a very clean signal. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y2RYHFF
Edit: It looks like it comes with the 1K resistors now, so no need to change them out.

I use this one in conjunction with a mechanical 4 device AV switch (with cram buttons)... Very basic. I've had it forever...

I ended up buying this one because it is small, we will see how the audio quality turns out.

Cool! Let us know what you think. It is a powered one so it will be interesting to see if it adds any hiss or has any negative audible effects. If you don't like it, you can always exchange it.kynrek wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:38 pm I almost bought that one, probably would have had I noticed the 1K resister note

Re: MT-32 and MiSTer Audio Output Mixing
This is my setup for my MT-32 and SC-55 mk1. I have the USB interface, SC-55, and MT-32 in a MIDI chain with the audio output from each sound module connected as different inputs on the mixer. The HDMI out from the MiSTer goes to the audio extractor side and 2 channel analog out comes from that to the mixer as well.
The mixer output goes back to the audio injector side so the mixed audio is added back to the HDMI signal.
