I just got a snac recently, the one from misteraddons. And I got the hdmi/nes cable from blissbox.
I got the zapper working with light gun games. I then tried to use a controller on some different games (tried both an oem and a new 3rd party controller) and couldn't get it to work at all. I tried many combinations of settings in the Input menu for the nes core, but I assume it should be as simple as setting the serial mode to snac.
I also confirmed that the controllers work fine on an original nes.
Any ideas?
SNAC zapper works, controller doesn't

On the I/O board what is your jumper that is labeled (IO6) set to?

The NES requires 5v, the DE10-Nano only has 3.3v, therefore your problem might be in there somewhere...

IO6 shouldn't matter for NES/SNES

I have the same issue. It looks like MisterAddons is aware of the issue.

It was set to I/O. I tried changing it to 3.3v just now, but no change.
Probably worth mentioning I have a 6.1 standard IO board also from misteraddons. I checked continuity from my nes controller through the blissbox cable to the snac, and that all checked out fine.
Also, for what it's worth, I tried an snes controller through the snac on the snes core and it worked as expected.

Huh, I never knew there was a difference. Mine are NTSC though.
