Question about Sonic 2 on my Sony Trinitron

Hi,

Got this weird behaviour which I've only seen (so far) on the second level of Sonic 2. Getting brightness fluctuations depending on content in the image. I've tried to record this (see below). Whenever I jump I get a brighter image vs when standing on the grey platform. I think it's probably a screen issue (it's over 20 years old after all), but it's weird I've only ever seen it on this level (watch the grey platforms luminance change as I jump):

It's definitely your TV. These older trinitrons suffer with this quite a lot.

That set looks closer to 30 years old btw.

Yeah, you're probably right in relation to age!

Could this be repaired i.e. new capacitors, or it a more severe problem?
