Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Re: Street fighter 1 arcade
If you are having issues with 48mhz sdram, it could be because of that update.

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Got to this screen tonight it’s the only jotego game I can’t get to work. Sometimes it loads sometimes it doesn’t get past even the capcom region screen but ultimately crashes. Do I really have to replace my 32 ram
Edit . Before it used to automatically insert a coin credit now it says insert coin again so maybe works being done sorry to be a pain but interesting all the same

Looking at the alternatives tonight , crazy I remember the punch buttons version in the arcades .. forgot that for all this time!!
The rubber pads instead of buttons to throw punches with ... how long would those last in an arcade lol

No. Jotego has broken it again!™ I'm sure it will be fixed soon, as it has been on-and-off many times already.
Don't mess with your hw; it's working fine

If it still fails for you, I would advise getting an SDRAM replacement.

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
I can't make any CPS0 game work. It shuts down the entire system and I have to reboot.
Tested both 48 and 96 for like 20 minutes to no problem.
Big Neogeo games work well too... What possibly could be happening? (CPS1 and 2 works fine)
*******NVM, really sorry for some reason the core files were corrupted...
Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Thank you Jotego for the help looks like I’ll go back to the seller of the ram to see if he will check it for me.
Just to double check in case I have a dodgy core set should I remove the sf Rom files in both hbmame and mame folders and then do a update through the update_all script to get fresh rom files ?
Thanks

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Yes, I would delete the core, the game, everything, then do an update. That has fixed problems for others (see above post) when things get messed up. Good luck and let us know how it goes!Shuffle7 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 1:40 pm Thank you Jotego for the help looks like I’ll go back to the seller of the ram to see if he will check it for me.

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Have tried deleting , replacing Roms . I just can’t get SF to work. So as jotego said maybe try the sdram option. I’ve ordered replacement sdram . This time I’ve gone for 128 instead of the 32 I had . Is there anyway on mister to display the SDRAM memory you have ?

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
If you mean the memory size you can see it after you boot MISTer, there is a small icon in the "title bar" of the OSD which shows a memory chip with a filled portion which indicate the size 32, 64 or 128 (1/4 filled, 1/2 filled, totally filled).

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Plus, the memtest core shows the amount of RAM as a numeric code (see README.md here: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/MemTest_MiSTer )
Converters I've written: Floppy DIM/FDI/FDD/HDM to D88, D88 to XDF, Tape SVI 318/328 CAS to WAV
Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Installed 128 ram this time and it works !!!
Thanks jotego and everyone else for your help
