Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
I love Mr. Do. I was hoping this would be coming soon. I am planning on building an arcade cabinet and thought of putting Mr. Do graphics on it somewhere and calling it MiSTer Do, but I probably won't. It was just an idea.

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
Has anyone been able to get the Mr Do core to work? It just dumps back to the OSD for me whenever I launch it. I installed it via update-all script so am assuming its grabbed the right files needed.

I have the same problem! Did you manage to get around this?MrSniffles wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:42 am Has anyone been able to get the Mr Do core to work? Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
I tried to get it manually, and it would not load for me, then did Update_All and viola, it works.. The issue however is that if you want to play it with your screen rotated vertically, it is upside down.. as is Centipede and Lady Bug..
what is sort of funny, is that Mr. Do Nightmare, actually has the setting to flip the screen, but does not need it..
I am sure it will get worked out, very cool that this game has been added, I am sure a lot of people are happy, as am I !!!!

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
Couple things I learned.. Mr. Do Nightmare has nothing to do with the new Mr. Do core..
The author of the new core is aware of the screen rotation issue and will be adding a fix for it in the next release ( Super Easy Fix )
sounds like he has a few other bugs to squash but he made if very clear he was going to tackle them head on..
God Speed Sir..

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
I made a small video to show how Mr Do! ain't working for me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mKxWr-vFO8
I've used the update all script and even deleted the Mr Do! core and rom to no avail,
It is the only arcade core that don't work for me yet all the other arcade cores work fine.
Can anyone else help me?
Thanks in advance.

I've seen this before. The problem is the MRA file. Check to make sure it is about 2K in size. If it is larger, delete it and then redownload it.phillai wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 5:43 pm I made a small video to show how Mr Do! ain't working for me.

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
My Mr. Do! works great on my CRT, but I have the same problem you are describing with Qbert on my system that nobody else seems to have. Tried removing all the files, re-running update_all, manually downloading and installing them etc.phillai wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:42 pmMy Mr.Do.mra is 2kJaguarLV wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 2:38 amI've seen this before. Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
Also have a problem with Mr.Do! I used the update_all script.
For me it does not go back to the menu but I simply get a black screen. I can get the OSD menu for MrDo, exiting gets me back to the black screen. Other cores work fine.

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
I've managed to fix it (in my case anyway). For some reason update/update-all said it had downloaded the mrdo.rbf file, but it very much hadn't. Manually copying the file to _Arcade/cores/ has fixed it for me.

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
Wonder if it's because of the non-standard naming. It's called MrDo_xxxxxx.rbf rather than Arcade-MrDo_xxxxxx.rbf like the other arcade cores.
Converters I've written: Floppy DIM/FDI/FDD/HDM to D88, D88 to XDF, Tape SVI 318/328 CAS to WAV

Re: Mr. Do! Core In Development
I did the update all script and now I have Mr. Do and Mr. Do fixed. What's the difference?
